Considered similar Planet Fitness membership for showering but then thought it makes no sense to stock up with 2 weeks of food to drive back into town for a 15-minute shower because mine takes 30 minutes, from setup to teardown. Sometimes, when I do pop out to restock on food I try to make it near a truck stop that has showers (~$12-15, even if more expensive than a monthly gym membership) and laundry too. That said, even if it takes 30 minutes, it's pretty convenient to have a shower in the middle of nowhere and whenever I want one. Not to mention, if you take into consideration how much more time-consuming it is to drive into town and back into the woodline after a shower. For that, you would be better off in a motel overnight. But yes, considered a gym membership for showering, thanks.

Wipes are also a great way to freshen up between showers.

The shower attachment makes perfect sense for the overlanding mode. I will be shacking up near trailheads with plans to hit the town for a burger & beer. I am hoping the low humidity of the west will minimize the need for a daily shower. I too was in the Army and days without a shower were a common occurrence. I will be traveling solo, so I can be as stinky as I want to be.

These shower/toilet/changing awnings are a great solution and where I got the idea to make similar that can also be used in more than one area. Aside from showering and changing under the hatch, it can be placed over the rear passenger door where the porta-a-potty is. Additionally, while I have not tried it, it's possible, that if there is no wind or rain, the curtains could be connected to poles to extend the covered space under the hatch and even off the side of the vehicle like an awning. Aside from the bicycle rack and tandem bicycle I carry, trying to keep the top clear and the weight, on top or elsewhere, down. Otherwise, those shower/toilet/changing awnings are a great solution. Even seen them used inside of vans for shower areas in order to recover the space when not showering. Thanks.

Just received my set of ARB skids for my 13 Trail looking forward to installing them sometime this week.

Just as an FYI I was able to get them for $449 through Morris 4x4 (after a bit of back and forth I was able to get them to price match a different website that was offering a 10% off coupon. I wasn’t sold on the credibility of the other website and just felt better ordering from Morris. No affiliation with either company just trying to pass on the $50 savings

    Link for 10% of website:

People are probably tired of seeing this from me but seeing the roof of your car rusted leaves a mark in your brain! haha! Protect the paint under the windscreen gaskets with something! haha! Prinsu says it isnt an issue. I just installed one of my strips for someone and they only had the rack on for 2 months and there was already signs of wear happening!

The same goes for wires. Despite the solar panel cable being secured, somehow, not well enough to where the cable was rubbing and tattooed the paint after about 5k miles of being up there, it would not come off. Allowing to continue likely would have rubbed off the paint as well. Nonetheless, removed the rack and covered the full top with vinyl, as you mention. Thanks for the evidence.

Relocated my license plate to my Bajarack ladder with a custom mount. Still need to wire up the lights to it though…

How much lift in the rear? Does the panhard look noticeably angled? I have a 1.5 to 2in lift and always wondered when you need to start looking at these…

Is the draglink mount new as well, or is it armor?

Are you replacing any other links?

The panhard is definitely angled, with a 2.5" lift... Hard to get a picture though. The rear link arms are stock and we haven't replaced them...yet. The eimkeith mounts are armor and reinforcement. They go over top of your stock brackets then you weld them up so they protect and reinforce your stock brackets. I will link two vids. I like these YouTubers seem to have a similar style of use as us so I like a lot of their videos.

The instructions suck badly. I got these a while back. I had to use some hardware and spacers that I had on hand to get it on there correctly with no rattling. These are not diff drop friendly, have no oil filter access, lacks adequate protection on the front sides and the hardware is cheap. They are, however, marginally better than the factory skids and provide fair protection until I can save up for something better. Hopefully you will be happier with them than I am.

Really? Dang it. I’m planning on installing a gmrs unit this week and Im getting hung up on planning how Im mounting and routing my antennas, since Im keeping my CB for the time being.

Maybe I’m worrying for a good reason? Where are your antennas mounted relative to each other? When you routed them, do they pass over each other, parallel, or seperate?

Have no idea if any of these are the issue, but want to avoid having same problem.

I installed the steering wheel blackout emblem and the 2 front grille blackout strips.

Yea I’m not sure what the deal is. There’s a huge gap in mhz between cb and gmrs. But coax is 3’ at its closest point, cb antenna on bumper swing out and gmrs antenna is at wind fairing. Hoping someone else has both and can key up under that scenario.

EDIT. Tried it with a handheld and it did the same thing. Also tried in another vehicle with cb and gmrs and it also happens. So apparently gmrs 19 and cb 21 has cross interference. Regardless of vehicle. Which isn’t a big deal, the only reason I noticed it was cause I had my gmrs on scan and was using ch 21 on cb and the gmrs keep picking up bad noise
