Hoping I might be able to get some help here. I've done this mod on my taco and my IS by running power to the actual fog relay directly and seen this done on older gen 4Rs but the 5th gen on T4R.org has a different method (by Antman). I've reached out to Antman but no response yet hoping he might be able to shed some light. My question is does the 5th gen have it's own relay or is it integrated else where that the old method of supplying power to it directly is not feasible!?

Update: Jeff (Antman) replied "The reason the mod is a "work around" of the factory relay is because the factory relay is sealed in a box under the dash. No real way to get to it!" So for those if you haven't already seen his thread on T4R.org and want this mod for your rig here you go.

I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
I was just looking for a way to do this and damn that is a lot of work to accomplish it. I kinda liked the way it was on the taco, just bend a leg on a relay and run 1 wire. :pout:

Antman's procedure for the "fog light anytime" mod isn't all that difficult. I accomplished it on my Moms 2010 Runner, and she just traded for a 2016 Runner, and requested the mod to be done again. She really liked having her fog lights on with the high beams.

:anonymous: Well...between my wife's '05 V8 Runner and my Moms 4Runners (she just bought her 4th), I'm checking out ways to spend my time and money. Which reminds me, I need to order some Iggy lights.

is there any other way to accomplish this with out Antman's way
any body else has any suggestions or work around
I was thinking just tapping in to the fog light wires by the fog lights and running the wires back to the dash and pulling a power supply from an ignition with a fuse and a relay does that sound right or not please advise me thanks

I was thinking just to install aftermarket baja/rigid in the factory location so they can be on Anytime. Then adding smaller lights off the factory wiring ...small eagle eye marker lights or something behind the grill...hella 500s. Not sure
