Got everything in place, welded each joint, cut the front section off to weld the front crossbar. Hopefully I can get it painted tomorrow, I think it is supposed to rain the rest of the week.

Glamrunner is working great but an engine swap is high on the list now. It has been to Potts Mtn in VA, Windrock in TN, and this past weekend The Flats in NC. I got my stripe kit put on and more lights wired up. There is still a lot planned for it.

Taco 8.4 rear axle swap is complete, just waiting on a rear brake line. TG diff guard and TMR Customs shock mounts
    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Picked up an Indel B 50 qt fridge with slide. I bolted plates to the floor. There are nuts welded to the bottom of the plates for the slide to bolt in, and easily remove when I want to put it in my Tacoma. 12v/usb socket wired to the bedside. Mounted an Artec quart crate and finally got the cargo organized.

Not much to update. Been busy with a new job position and trying to stay caught up on home maintenance. I traded my 37" MTR's for some 40" creepy crawlers on pro comp wheels with TMI beadlocks. I need to pull the rings off, paint them silver, pour in some BB's for balancing, and put them back together. Couldn't help test fitting them . These fuckers are huge and heavy.

    image.jpg
    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

I also ordered some new front springs to replace my bent and saggy units.

The wheels and tires? I traded mine plus $1200. The creepy's are about $2400 new. The TMI beadlock kits are about $240 for a set, plus the wheels.

I put a full stereo in recently. Two Rockford amps, a pioneer 6.5 component set, Rockford 6.5 coaxials in Crawl Tunes pods, and a Polk 10" sub in a custom enclosure. Other than that I haven't done much with it. I'm saving up for a motor swap.

The mounts are linked at the bottom of the page on my TW thread, this is them; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YGTHQ7Q
They are modified a bit to fit over the pillars.

I do not have wheel spacers, I think the current WMS is like 61.75". I have the FROR tacoma brake kit waiting to install though, with IFS hubs the WMS will widen 3-3.5"

IFS hubs and 3" wheel spacers is a lot of scrub radius.

But the concern is tire clearance when turning and flexing, you are increasing scrub radius a lot and the tires can contact the firewall etc. like that. Just a heads up.

I'm a little worried about rubbing when I add the IFS hubs. Everything clears fine right now. When I had 1.5" spacers, 2.5" backspace wheels and 37's on the factory housing, I was rubbing with my axle 2" forward like yours. I pushed the axle forward another inch when I added the TG housing.

It is an awesome housing for the money, but honestly I wish I got a diamond housing, only because the TG housing has less steering angle because of the thicker knuckle ball necks.

1st gen solid axle brake tech

I am running an FJ80 1" bore master cylinder, a T100 booster, Summit manual proportioning valve for the rear brakes (LSPV delete). Currently have an '01 Tacoma rear axle with drum brakes that will probably be upgraded to discs eventually.

My front setup was the typical and simple FJ60 vented rotors with IFS V6 calipers. These could not keep up with 40" tires and beadlocks, so I upgraded.

I used the Front Range Off Road Tacoma brake mounting kit with milled IFS hubs. Instead of early Tacoma brakes, I used '05 Tundra brakes. 1st gen Tacoma and 3rd gen 4runner enthusiasts upgrade to these tundra brakes because they are larger and the mounting specs are same. The 13WL calipers and rotors are beefy.

I sourced the rotors from Rock Auto, the reman calipers from Napa, and the pads/shim kit from Toyota.

The upgrade was very easy, everything pretty much bolts into place. Stopping power is very noticeably increased.

The wheel mounting surface on the IFS hubs is 1.5" farther out than the solid axle hubs, so 3" of width is gained.

Been a while since updating, but I have been working on it and driving it when I can. Sadly haven’t wheeled it in a while. I went back to 37” tires so I can use 5th gear again, put in some PRP daily driver recliner seats, replaced the sunroof that leaked badly, replaced the IACV for cold start idle. I also installed a Front Range rear full floating axle kit with 5th gen rear disc brakes.
