Hey everyone. I just moved to an area that gets pretty gnarly weather. I was looking into getting a spare set of rims and throwing some snow tires on them. The issue I am running into is finding wheels without the TPMS in them. Was wondering if any of you have had any luck finding the new TPMS for not a huge chunk of change? Thanks in advance.

Right on, thank you. I actually found a set of stock wheels with the sensors still on them. That's a good site to know for sure

Let me know how they work and if they display pressure as the 2022's take a different TPMS, which is programable from behind the wheel. They take a PMV-E000 rather then the PMV-C015 that the 20-21's had. All pre 2020 4runners that take a TPMS, had PMV-107J that didn't display each individual tire's pressure .
Here is the pic of the one that I took just out of my 22 ORP if it uploads20211126_164252-2.jpg

following... im still waiting on my new TRD black wheels and was looking at just getting the factory TPMS sensors for the new wheels / tires (falken wildpeaks for the winter tires)... looking to keep factory tires and wheels for summer and road only and the trd/falken combo for winter/off road

The 22's and I believe the 20-21's came with rubber stems like this instead of the Silver aluminum ones used previously. Not sure if these are the right ones but they look just like it.
    https://www.amazon.com/ACCRETION-20...er+tpms+valve+stem,automotive,224&sr=1-5&th=1

I watched the Discount tire guy use a tool to thread on to the stem and pull it through the rim and then a small screw(they were #10 torx) to attach the actual tpms unit when they put them on my Method wheels.

Just wondering, will the silver 20-21 tpms work with the 22 ORP? Is it the same and the only difference is the valve stem?

I'm going to be putting TRD Pro wheels on soon and would like to keep my old wheels and TPMS for the winter. I'll probably put some Blizzaks on that setup.

So if I get snow tires, I can get these TPMS sensors, and then update them between seasons from behind the dash?

Yes - in the dash there’s a screen where you can reset and relearn the tpms. I think the only issue, which tpms sensor do we need to get? For 2022 the tpms valve stems are rubber and 20-21 the valve stems are aluminum. I’m not sure if there’s a difference internally or are they interchangeable as starting in 20 is when we can reset and relearn tpms sensors in the 4Runner.

It looks like this is the one. It looks like the same one on my ORP.

Just ordered a wheels, tires and sensors from tirerack for my 2022. They'll come mounted and balanced. I'm hoping I don't have to purchase a scan tool. If I do lesson learned. The sensors were about 42$each

Newbie, excuse ignorance please, got a 2022 limited on order. Will it have individual tire pressures shown on the display, or just a light if below pressure without showing which tire?

I believe the Limited actually has a full wheel + TPMS as the Spare.

Hey guys, sorry to revive this thread. I just got a new set of wheels from a 2022 TRD Off Road and it did came with the new TPMS sensors that has the rubber stems instead of the Silver aluminum ones.
Does anyone knows if they can be reprogrammed to a 2019 4R?
