    Hi

I have a 2016.4runner looking to upgrade my headlights and fogs to leds. Anyone has upgraded to leds? If so how do you like them? On the fog lights is the bulb size H16 or H11 Like the headlights on the 2016 t4r?

I also have the Xenon Depot HID's in my lows. They're awesome. I went for the 5000K kit to match my Morimoto XB fog lights.

Posted for others with the same question...

I have a 2016. The Morimoto fogs are pretty easy to install, no need to remove the bumper, you can reach from underneath the vehicle. There are two tabs and two screws. Unscrew the screws and slide the fogs out of the tabs that hold it in. I can get some pictures for you but its pretty easy, took me about an hour.

As far as the HID's they're pretty easy as well, the whole system is plug and play. The only thing you have to figure out is how to route the wiring, and how you want to run the wires to the ballasts and the bulbs. I drilled through the dust caps and sealed it with silicone.

I bought mine from Amazon here... https://www.amazon.com/Morimoto-Type-LED-Projector-Light/dp/B00XA3C2FA I had a gift card so I got them for a pretty good price. I think the retrofit source might have them for cheaper however.

Do you have to adjust the housing when you put these hid's in? Will it be ok how it is set?

With painters tape mark a line on a garage door or wall with the center and cutoff of your current bulbs. Put the HID's in and and adjust them to match. You may not need adjusting, mine lined up the same before and after.

Nice! You'll be happy with your purchase. Good call going with the Xenondepot HID's. I've heard problems with the Morimoto HID's so I didn't get them.

    Thanks man!

I was opting for the xenondepot led fogs but you have the morimoto and it matches so I went with it

Did you get the yellow protected film on your fogs as well?

I'm hoping I can install the fogs without removing front bumper. I know your trd is lifted. I just leveled my front 1inch.

Nope went with the standard clear.

You won't have to remove the bumper, I didn't.

    Thats good to know.

Did you have to reverse the polarity on the connection?

Did you use #9 step drill bit as well to drill the dust cover?

Is there a small gap from the fog light lens to the plastic? I heard they don't fit flush.

This is the drill bit I used...

The Morimotos don't fit flush, there is a 1/4" gap but I'm pretty OCD about my vehicles and it doesn't bother me.

I went to look up under the fenderwell to check out the fog lights..The driverside looks workable to remove but the passenger side fogs has this plastic cover looking thing which makes it diffcult to get to.. Did yours have that? I'm trying to figure out how to remove it.

The plastic cover is held in by 3 tension clips. Just pull away from the front bumper and it'll come out.
