I had my green girl towed today because she started shaking and the check engine light came on. Apparently a coil misfired. So my mechanic says I need to replace that and the 2 other coils but recommended OEM parts this time. What do you guys...the experts...think??

    I bought my 1997 in 2005 with 57K and 11 years later, I have 108K.

I've owned my '02 4Runner for an entire 4 days. Considering where those coils are located and what their job is I'd stick to stock. I say this with no idea about performance upgrades, but if you aren't tuning the truck or doing crazy perf mods, go stock OEM. I have 123k on mine with stock coils. I'll be changing them out with the valve cover gaskets this summer (and changing wires/spark plugs), but I'll be buying stock OEM. Remember, stock rocks.

Stick to OEM. Amazon sometimes has OEM coils.
