So far so good. A little stiffer over stock which I actually like + keep factory Fox suspension and clear 285’s.

Also, the guys at Westcott are great. As I was doing my research I spoke with the owner who was gracious with his time and insights.

Total Chaos upper and lower control arms S2 shocks upfront. 37” toyo MT Tons of little extras
I’ve thought about making one but I don’t have pics of absolutely everything I’ve done, which is a lot according to the wife

guess I could detail the rig and take pics and make a build thread though.

Pls do.. I'd love to know how you got 37's on and what you did (if anything) to the suspensions/gears to strengthen it.

Good to see a pre-2014 model. I might be buying a 2012 just like your's came. I don't offroad, and want to keep it relatively stock for what I need it for...hunting, pulling my fishing boat, hauling canoes way north, so gas mileage and highway drivability is key. But I'll NEED to get rid of the chrome and make it look a little less like a soccer mom SUV...but not a mall-crawler either. I would have bought a Trail version in a heartbeat, that is the look I really like in the pre-2014 models. I'll post pics if the deal goes through. Comments and suggestions welcome!!

Thanks!! For sure, there are many other pre-facelift 5th gen's on the forum that look way better than mine. Its been an excellent truck and highway drivability is great.

The seat for driving longer than 5 hours on the highway is uncomfortable for me. I do mitigate this by stopping every hour to do stretches and keep the back loose. Otherwise I think you will find its a more than capable vehicle for fishing and other recreation :)

I was going to say that deleting the rocker panel trim goes a long way to cut down on the shiny frou frou. You can always remove the roof rack and plastic-dip the chrome pieces without having to un-bolt the rack from the roof.

I heard about these and installed some. Big difference. You can do a search here and read other’s opinions too.

Nice! I’m pricing out options for suspension now, considering going with a dobinsons kit for 2.5” in the front and 2” in the back.

I got lucky! While waiting for the SR5P I ordered from a local dealership, I was perusing other dealers in the region and found this beaut about to roll off the truck! A 22 ORP that had all my other options like blackout package, Pro wheels and all-weather mats. No dealer markup, got a good value on my Highlander that I traded in, and walked away a happy lady!

I drove it home about 100 miles from NH to VT and found it so comfortable and was a great ride! I will get some better pictures when it's light outside.

Not sad that I ended up with an TRD ORP instead of the SR5P. I love the hood and look forward to the opportunity to test it out off road! PXL_20220125_215505270.jpg

Beautiful choice but just curious why you opted for a SR5P before the ORP?

Honestly it had been a price thing. After all said and done, though, they ended up being pretty similar. That and this is going to be the vehicle I drive for the next 10 plus years, and they hold their value so well that it's totally worth it.

Yeah most people I ask have similar answers. Was just wondering if it was because you didn’t care for the off road goodies. I tell them, you’re already paying somewhat close to mid 45 for a SR5P, why not just add another 2-3k and just get the OR or ORP? For such a small amount you can get one with most of the bells and whistles. Plus they prob will be more sought after in 10 years from now. Just like the 3rd and 4th gen 4Runners that came equipped with lockers. Very seldom do you see one.

Loving this OEM+ look! More details on tires please? Are these 295s? Any spacers? Thanks!

    Thank you, sir

OEM+ is exactly what I was going for. Yup, 295s w/spidertrax 1.25" spacers. Had to trim the bumper more than what was already done and heat mold the fender liner and push it further forward. BMC needs to be done as well

Does a 40th Anniversary count if it’s color is Ice Cap?

Does it count if I don’t actually own one, this is a promotional pic, and I’m simply delusional?
