Howdy, just wondering if any of you has pulled out the center console compartment and mounted a small refrigerator there? I did some measuring and the Iceco 12 qt will fit, so I am pretty sure I can get it mounted in there, but there are AC ducts I’m not sure what to do with. Anyone have experience with a similar install and/or with re-routing those AC ducts? Tyia

That would be a great project. You may have to figure it out and let us know how.

I wonder how much space we have there.
With my experience after removing the divider I can only have 4 water bottles in my cheap cooler which are little bigger than the center console area.

If we had Ford Truck's we could just drop one of these in the center console, but alas, this is a 4runner site....

I measured it at 9” and a little bit. It’s going to be real tight! If it can be done, I am going to do it.

Wonder if it can be mounted on it's back. I bet it is designed to only function with a vertical resting position.

I definitely has to sit on its bottom. I did not get to start on it today. Hopefully tomorrow!

It’s in solid and we have power. Some cosmetic work tomorrow then I will put the seat back in. No turning back once you take the sawzall to your console! Lmao

Nice. I have the 21q and they look like the same size and I was wondering what magic you did to make that fit. Being it it is smaller that makes sense. Sure seems like a tight fit.

Yessir. It is far from optimal. I equate it to stuffing 315s on a 2”/1” lift…it rubs a little. Lmao

What did you do with the A/C ducts and USB outlets?

For now the duct is open to the floor area under my deck, but I plan to route it so it blows upward into the rear cabin. Gotta get some small flex duct and reroute it - easy fix. My console didn’t have any USB ports.
