    Good Morning,

There's a lot of information out there, but I have a 2005 4Runner Sport Edition and want to get 4 new tires. Living in New England (Metrowest Boston) we get a decent amount of snow and ice each year. I have always had the Dunlop Grandtrek AT20's and they have worked well, but I have heard that Toyo's may be better for ice and snow. I just wanted to reach out to an avid fanbase and hear what tires you swear by.

I am not looking for winter only tires, which would probably be my best bet, but all season tires.

    Thank you in advance!

I have BFG KO2s and love them. I live in Rhode Island. They are great in the snow and great for regular driving. I will def buy another set once needed

Thanks Bfan1122, when I go to BFG's site and inpt the make and model of my 4Runner I getr this message: "Unfortunately, we do not currently manufacture tires fitting this vehicle's Original Equipment specifications. However, we may have an approved alternative and would be glad to help you find one"

If I may ask what year and style of 4Runner do you drive? How is the sound during the warm weather months?

    Thank you again!

I have a 2005 4Runner limited. I do have a 2 1/2 inch leveling kit on the front suspension. I do not think the tires will fit without that. The tires are not loud at all during the warm weather. I absolutely love them

BFG ta ko. The best all season you will find. Incredible wet dry and snow traction and gets great treadlife, easily over 50k on a set.

Hey, brand new here, great forum! So I have owned my 04' from new, and have always just replaced the factory tire, Bridgestone Dueler HT. It has been quiet on the highway, worn well, and living in New York, I get some snow as well. The truck has been great in any weather with that tire. Hope that helps!

Our new '16 4R came fitted with Goodyear Duratracs and they appear rugged, but when they need to be replaced, I'll be looking at Toyo all terrains. I put them on my '08 Mitsu Outlander and they lasted like iron, rode well, were quiet and had lots of grip in mud, blood and shite. - Cheers, Ted
