Brought it home for the wife yesterday...installed TRD Pro bumper covers today. Goes well with my Taco I think. Let the mods commence!

Palerider the sliders you ordered do they lay flat or are they slanted up like all the others out there? I need to put sliders soon because i have already bent the stockers. And are they bolt ons? Christmas wish list time. Thanks

Ordering some RCI aluminum trail armor and steel diff skid later today after work.

 

They are slanted about 30 degrees. Should do the trick around boulders.

Replaced my corner lights today with LED! Would post pictures but it looks like OEM just way brighter. All I've got left thats halogen/incandescent is the low beams, high beams, and turn signals.

 

Received my low beam HID kit from The Retrofit Source, but the install was way more than any previous HID kit I've installed. Was too much for me tonight

 

Woke up to a nail in one of my tires so I had to take it to my local Goodyear to get patched

 

no this a your chance to get new tires!

 

Hahah I was soooooo close to using that excuse but I've literally only got 2000 miles on them and the car and I wanna break them in a little more. Plus I wanna get different wheels with the bigger tires and that's not an option yet.

I'll post as soon as I get the whole kit together. I already talked to Vin at SCS and coordinated with my wife so she can 'surprise' them with me for Christmas haha.

 

Welp, I got it installed, but was definitely the most difficult HID kit I've ever had the pleasure of installing. I'm not very happy with the standard H11 harness. The 3 light leads were about 5" shorter, and the 2 battery leads 12" longer than I would have liked for them to be. Also, the seal on the bulbs were too thick, and they wouldn't turn and lock into the light housings. I swapped the seals from the original bulbs to the new bulbs, and they went in perfectly. I contacted TRS about it, and they said they've never had any issues with "their most popular kit." The tech support suggested that I reroute the passenger side lead around the front of the engine bay, rather than the firewall. Tried that this afternoon, and there's no way that was ever gonna happen. Install troubles aside, I've been very happy with the light output.

 

Hmm I'll make sure to have some spare wire and solder laying around when I do this mod then.

Also if you could post some pictures of the cutoff that would be awesome!
