Thanks for sharing. Same canbus but different sound options. I might need to downgrade software.

Yes there is. Scroll back up on the list. You are at the bottom. The on button is at the top. That list on your screen is “scrollable”

Came here to post this and you beat me to it!

I never really looked for the compass there so didn't notice before - I use it in Google Maps, Waze, or Gaia depending which Carplay app I am using.

Looked a bit through this thread but wasn't able to find the answers to some issues I have with the unit.

I installed my Dasaita HU yesterday and these are the issues I'm having so far:

    1. The ZLink very rarely connects immediately. Usually it's stuck on "waiting" no matter how many times i disconnect and reconnect bluetooth/wifi.

    2. My backup camera stays on after going from reverse to park and only goes away when in drive. My backup taillights also stay on after putting the car into park which makes me believe some wires might've gotten messed up with the install. I've taken everything apart and made sure everything is plugged in. IDK what to do about this...

    3. My CEL and TRAC OFF lights are on. I disconnected and reconnected the battery but lights are still on.

    4. My USB port below the AC control doesn't work but the lighter port to the right of it does work.

1-Try hitting the reset button top right , hold it till the buttons on the side flash.
2,3 sound like a possible wiring cambus issue.
4- same thing wiring issue. I know when I installed mine some of the harnesses plugged into more than one port.

    Thanks for replying!

Do you happen to have the video/resource you used as a guide for installation? I used a video i found on youtube and followed everything he did so I'm not sure what I can do differently.

Honestly it was a trial and error to a extent. I know picking the wrong camera input is common. I did it and also had it plugged into the wrong spot.
Here is the video I watched.

I got everything to work just fine. My problems all came down to just one wire...

There are two brown wires labelled "CRH" or "CTH" (can't remember right now). I connected them initially because they both have the same label and they fit into each other perfectly. DO NOT connect those two lol, somehow disconnecting just those wires and leaving them disconnected fixed all the above issues.

I see you have a 2019 and this unit says it's not for a 2019. But they do have a different one for the 2019 if you scroll down.

It definitely said 2019 when I ordered - it was for every year up to 2020. Interesting though if the link was changed after. Shouldn't be any difference between 2014-2019 as I understand. Obviously changes with the new 2020 unit. Along those lines - my buddy just snagged a 2021. Unit is nice but I never thought I would say I enjoy the android experience more as well as the bigger screen. Feel like they could've made the 2020-2021 screen a bit bigger. But I am sure the 6th gen will get some nice treatment like the new Tundra :)

Hadn't used CarPlay in a while since the microphone stopped working on phone calls, but works fine in the Android OS. After the update, the microphone is working fine in CarPlay. Guess the update fixed the problem!

Just installed one of these tonight. The backup camera is giving me issues. I don't see a yellow rca jack in the oem harness to plug into the Dasaita yellow rca harness. There wasn't a yellow rca jack on the oem unto either.

When I put the 4runner in reverse, a yellow yield sign only shows.

Any pointers? I have the USB harness plugged into the Dasaita and the adaptor harness and that's it. No other harness is currently being used.

I sent an email to Dasaita. All of my RCAs in all of my harnesses are female. It appears from some youtube install videos that I should have a RCA male video plug to connect to one of my harnesses and in turn, I plug that harness into the back of the radio in order to receive a rear camera image.

Edit: I think my canbus harness may not be the correct one for the 4runner that I have. The backup camera RCA plug is female whereas the vidoes I've seen, the plug is male. I've ordered a male-to-male RCA adaptor and we'll see if that solves my issue.

Yup, this the video I used too. When I looked at it again this am, you can see the canbus has a male yellow RCA cable whereas my harness has a female RCA cable on the canbus harness. I think this is my issue. I'll find out tomorrow when my male to male RCA adaptor comes in.

Customer support got back to me and wanted a picture of the main harness. I knew this was coming so I didn't button up the entire dash. Once I pulled the radio out I saw that I did have two male yellow rca plugs, even though I was 100% positive I only had female.

I plugged in one of the two yellow males to the extra harness with a female plug and plugged that harness into the radio and of course, my back up camera is working.

Just posting my "resolution" for future searches.

Overall radio impressions is favourable but you have to be willing to go exploring in the subsystems to get things sorted the way you want. The plug and play part of this radio is the dash attachments and wiring harness. The customizing your ultimate applications and GUI is the "fun" part.

Glad you got it figured out!

Agreed, I still have some more exploring to do in the interfaces. I honestly just use Carplay 99% of the time.

Is anyone having issues with a static sound whenever you’re listening to music on the dasaita? I’ve been having this issue since install and it’s only been getting worse.

If you are taking about the radio portion yes. Other than that no. I’ve gone to streaming my local stations using CarPlay because of that.

Zero static via USB mp3s and no over the air radio FM and AM static, either.

Two questions for people running this head unit.

Does it have a jack/input for a front facing camera?

Can a SIM card be installed for wireless connectivity?

    Thanks
