I recently was looking for a hitch hauler for a dirt bike. Didn't see an existing thread, so.... here!

After some research I got the discountramps.com AMC-400, which at time of posting is $124.00, and about $30 for shipping. They often have free shipping promos, but even at $154.00 shipped, this thing is a real value.

    http://www.discountramps.com/motorcycle-carrier/p/AMC-400/

You need a standard hitch pin and cotter, and 2 ratchet straps and 2 cam buckle straps. For straps I prefer the KTM PowerParts straps because they are wide, have soft ends, and carabiners on the bottom ends (to keep from bouncing off like a 'S' hook can). They also suggest 2 wheel straps to lash the wheels down - I've never used those and don't think they are needed.

Pros: It holds the bike securely, no wobbling. Comes with a ramp (not shown). Comes with a device to cinch to the hitch to prevent wobbling. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Fast shipping and a reputable company to deal with. Every online review of them and the ramp is positive.

Limitations: the 400 lb weight limit, but they do offer a 600 lb version. Still, most dirt bikes being 200-250 lb that's not a deal breaker, but you won't be hauling a street bike on it. There is obviously some rear suspension squat but nothing awful. You also cannot open the hatch, but the glass is still accessible if you wanted to roll it down and root around through the window. Chinese made, not American.

Post up other hitch haulers. Let's see some options!

awesome man, I was wondering about one of these for mine. Any shots from the side showing how much squat there is on the rear? Oh and what size is your bike, I have a WR426FP so the dry weight is 240 lbs, shouldn't be a problem I think.

It's a WR250R, it weighs about 290-300 pounds. You would have no problem.

This is the only other shot I have, it kind of shows the squat. It's barely noticeable. I do have a lift though (OEM shocks and springs in the rear, just a spacer back there).

Cool, cool. Good luck. This is my second one of these AMC-400 units, I sold the first one when we moved and I sold my then-dirt bike. They both are decent especially considering price.
