True! I'm happy with what I have. The debt and interest are the "have it now" tax. Hats off to anyone who saves up and buys a vehicle with cash. It takes a lot of discipline. Or, a very good paying job.

Your last sentence sums it up perfectly!

My discipline didn't help me, it took me seven years to save $30,000, finally I gave up and borrowed :D
Yes there are people out there who write checks to buy Lamborghinis

America is a great country. I wish and pray that our politicians show some sincerity, and also the public become hard-working, so that we can kick China in the butt. I hope some politician comes to power who will mobilize the masses, like what happened during WW2. Let's get to work people

By the way, China can never be a superpower. You offer green cards to Chinese citizens and 90% of China would want to move to America :D

Nah piss on that. All that matters is you got it. If you have no ragrets getting it, the income question is immaterial. Tell yourself you worked your ass off for it!

You'd think with all the mods you see on here there would be a bunch of people pulling in over $150k per year.

@The last breed inflation sucks ! I'll sell a 4 Runner :D I plead the 5th. At least your 4Runner will be there if you do the required service.

Try going to buy a used one right now. It doesn't make sense.

One of my favorites, for sure! It's hard not to drink a few beers while watching it. :drunk:

Well over 50% in the $100k+ categories. I probably could have bought mine with cash if I were making that much $$.

It's all of us, we the people that need to make it work & start in our backyard to make something happen; politicians come & go and are not going to do this for us.

There is a big misconception in that respect, the Government is here to govern not to do our job or educate our children.

The Ninth and Tenth Amendments evokes themes of popular sovereignty, highlighting the foundational role of the people in the constitutional republic.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
I'm medically retired, living on SSDI, and private insurance I paid for while I was working. Took a court case to get there, but that's where I am.

My lovely wife did a lot of work on the PC, and dug up a nice, 99 4Runner. Had been a fleet vehicle most of it's life. It needed a little bit of stuff here and there. Knock sensors, rear axle seals, obviously rear brake shoes, a few misc covers here and there, including the skid plates it SHOULD have. The dealer we bought it from did a timing belt, complete, water pump, radiator, and so forth. They replaced the ECU too, due to codes and a bad idle. Runs like a dream, now. Biggest thing we need to do still is replace the radio antenna. I think about $20.00 to $30.00. Run the old one out, drop in the new one's chain, done. Really tough.
Oh, yeah, the 4Runner cost us $5,000.00, plus $1,100.00 to ship it to us.We checked, and it was less to ship it here, than fly up and drive back, counting in airlines, food, lodging, gas, etc, etc...
We saw another one, nearly identical, for $15,000.00, at another dealer across Denver from the one we bought.
We have saved and saved, since we moved up to Oregon, my lovely wife saying no to stuff we didn't really NEED. She's a lot better at this than I am :D We were able to pay cash for the 4Runner.

So, I don't MAKE much, but it's enough for us. We have food, payed cash for the house, and worst case scenario, my 87 pickup still runs quite well, so we have that. Even as little as we make, we get by. Just a matter of being some cheap SOBs. Or, if you prefer, VERY frugal. :D

    Have a good life, all!
    Pat☺

Unless I missed it, nobody responded with a real annual income number. That's as it should be, IMO. Good job, fellas!
