First of all, I miss you @MeefZah. But you moved to the Florida in the North. You're dead to me.

I love how the author keeps going on about “shiny SUVs.”

And also how it seems to be some type of treacherous off-road trail to get there, but her piece of shit Kia made it until some yahoo with a jeep slammed into her.

I’m more concerned about the people leaving trash everywhere and target shooting without a berm than any of the other BS hysteria the San Francisco city dweller is whining about

Oh my God, they had a pitbull!

I just lost it when I read this, pretty much every public park toilet in California is a war crime.

Well gentlemen, I'm thinking a Fire Wings Rocklin meet up is in order!!! (They have a GREAT parking lot and my wife will drive so I can hit the taps). Who's in?!?!?!? Snow wheeling is coming soon also!!!!!! Let's lock in some dates.

PS, I might even not have to cancel this time!!!!!

Just did a Bilstein 5100 lift and needle bearing on another 3rd gen today. Tomorrow supposed to do needle bearing and sliders on a 4Runner (finally). The Third gen I did needle/bushing on the other day only had 3 weeks with the new lift and there were already wear marks starting.

Geez dude, those needle bearing stories are no joke.

Mobbing around Seattle this weekend, saw a full sized AluCab on a Jeep Renegade and was thankful for decision-shaming forums like this that keep me out of shit storms like.

Shameless plug: I did another needle bearing today. Things at my work have changed a bit so I have been picking up side work lately, Stellar is charging $360 labor plus parts to do the bushing, (3hr at 120/hr) (50-60 for the bushing plus gear oil) I am doing it for $200 (80/hr and I do them in about 2.5 so I flat fee it) and you bring the parts. If any of you need it done pm me and we will figure out a time. Sorry for the plug but it kinda helps all of us out haha. I do other stuff too, I just go with book hrs and am charging $80/hr. No OTPHJ's though! Hahaha

    Nice, that's a fair price.

I had mine done before we left California and I think they charged me $400 including parts. 2.5" front lift, got about 20k on it after lifting before the needle bearing went.

Not sure how I missed this when you posted it, but I did. Just read it. Fucking lame. Some lickalottapuss from SF gonna cruise up in her Kia and talk shit? Bah. I've been to Usal 100 times and always via the "real" way (north side route). I've never once seen it like some of her commentators were describing. Worst I've seen is those damn illegal beach drivers, of which I was one!

PS Bodie it's in Mendo, not Humboldt....

    What's the shiny rock?
If you are in Markleeville and ready for food/beer. Cutthroat Brewery is pretty good, food was killer. A bit expensive but oh well. I remember when my dad took me in there when it was Cutthroat Saloon and I was 8 or so and the biker girls were sticking their bras to the ceiling haha. It is now a but yuppity but still pretty nice, especially now that you won't get in a fight with a biker gang for just being there haha

Yeah, I was there for their grand re-opening last year, and it was a bit fubar. That's peacock ore in the photo, chalcopyrite and goethite from Silver Peak side of things. There are also a ton of quartz crystals on the other side, near Zaca Mine. I covet your cabin. If you ever need anyone to stop in and check on things....

Mine was that dirty last year, somebody wrote "I wish my wife was this dirty" on the tailgate. God only knows how long it was there until a coworker told me... pretty funny I thought

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
For whatever it's worth, my sister moved to Sacto after her divorce. :D
