    Hi

Looking to upgrade my stock shocks on my 2016 t4r sr5 to 5100's front and rear. Going to set the front at .85. Is the ride better then stock? As for changing out the rear shocks to 5100 instead of leaving it stock will it make a difference?

Pre and post measurements. Bilstein 5100s all around. Front set to 0.85, no lift to the rear. Will post a side view pic when it's lighter out, dark t4r and dark TRD wheels make it hard to shoot in the dark. Appears to be raised just short of an inch. Ride is MUCH better than stock.

Nice! Looks like from your pic measurement its slightly more then an inch. The before pic is is around 3inch mark and after pic is past the 4inch mark? Thanks for the write up! I want to do the same. Is it noticable from stock height? It must be same height as the trd pro.

The pics are a little deceiving given the angle I took them from. It's definitely noticeable over "stock." Rides great, just shy of an inch lift up front.

@Kilos, got any far away pics of the whole truck? I'm debating between .85 and 1.75...

For just a few bucks more look at the 6112's they are a bigger body shock and the shaft is larger . This helps the cooling of the shock. I have them in the front and 5100's in the rear. Great ride.

Hey all - just thought I would chime in. I got the Bilsteins a few months ago. I went with the 1.75" height and stock rear. I prefer the leveled look. I'm overall happy with them. The truck looks a lot better IMO, there's no more nose dive when I brake, handles better and bumps aren't nearly as bad. There's not many cons except my fuel mileage seems to have dropped a bit (maybe 0.5MPG?) and the wheel wells seem emptier. Here's a couple pics (sorry they're not identical angles):

So just shocks (6112s front, 5100s rear) and you were able to level rode and get a firmer ride? No more dip when braking? Any improvement in towing?

This is .85 front and stock rear. I never ever want reverse rake. Everyone measures the fenders when their roofline and frame has reverse rack at 1.75. That is unloaded in the rear. I carry stuff so it would look terrible at 1.75, and you would see reverse rack in the fenders.

265/75/17 I really wanted to go larger but I'm happy with the outcome. @Chris556923

It's looks really good @Jerradlee. Just got my done over the weekend. Went with 285/70/17's. The front is set at 1.75" and rear is stock height.

I have heard that the 6112 ride a little better then the 5100 from what I have heard. They say that the 5100 are a little stiff.

Did anyone have someone install the front 5100 Blisteins? What did it cost? Labor and parts. Also, does anyone have a recommendation for this work in the Denver area?

5100's fronts only are cheap, I think I paid just over $100 or so. Just google them and you will find them cheap. As far as install, I just called some automotive shops and found one that did suspensions and was familiar with Bilstein shocks, cost me under $200 for install.

I love mine. They stopes the nose dive while breaking and handle so nice down the road. They should come stock with 5100's.

Kilos, thanks for all the useful information! I see that you also have KDSS and wondering if you ran into any issues because your rig has KDSS. I've read many posts where either it was not recommended or one could only use certain lift kits. Regardless, it sounds like it's not a straight forward process when you have KDSS.

I'm also curious about the cost. I have only two sources so far (in the Bay Area, and looking for more if anyone wants to make a recommendation): one 4x4 place and the dealer. For the dealer, to install the TRD Pro suspension is around $2k just for the parts. The 4x4 place indicated a similar price (I believe labor was included) but I have not pursued the details yet. Are these numbers realistic? Anyone know if it costs most because of the KDSS?

Hi everyone. I just recently purchased a 2016 4Runner and am wanting to raise the front end with the Bilstein 5100s to eliminate the factory rake. I am new to all this, so please excuse my ignorance, but, does anyone know if raising the front end with the 5100s set at either .85 or 1.75 have a negative effect on the driveline angles of the vehicle? I am assuming that it does not since so many people use this kind of method to lift the front end of their 4runners. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I read somewhere on another thread, (don't recall where, unfortunately), that someone raised their front 1.75" with the 5100s and installed oem 10mm rear coil spacers. Have any of you heard where you can find those types of spacers? I have not had any luck searching online for them. Thanks.
