I thought I heard they were done building the LR pros, so congrats.

First post here. Was able to lock into a 21 pro in Lunar Rock. I did pay 5k above msrp but it is what it is. 5k wasn’t enough for me to walk away from the pro I’ve always wanted. Here in Long Island NY 5k was a bargain. Most are charging 10-30k above msrp. Yes THIRTY. Nuts. It’s not coming with predator steps thankfully so I can install my own.

Just wanted to give a heads up that the Toyota in Philly, I think Sloane Toyota had a lunar rock available as of earlier today but wouldn’t sell to an out of stater like me.

I'm in Manhattan and NNJ right over the bridge. Take a drive out of state and you can get it for less. Thats what I did. Surprised they were against selling to someone for being from a different state. Ouch.

Congrats, I hope you enjoy. But, the more folks buy with markups, the more dealerships will markup.

While I do appreciate that, I’m driving a grand Cherokee with 208k miles on it. I couldn’t wait for a catastrophic problem to happen and be left waiting god knows how long to find one. 5k to me is t a deal breaker. Dealer wanted 10k above so I haggled him down to where I feel comfortable about the minimal difference in a monthly payment.

Nice job getting 208 out of the Jeep. I’m not trying to give you a hard time, we all got to do what we got to do.

All good my man. I don't take it personally. Believe me, paying over msrp wasn't something I ever thought I'd do, but in the end, when I look back several years from now still in love with this thing I'll be thankful I did.

As for the Jeep, that 208k came with many dealership trips even though I always kept up with care but thankfully it had a lifetime bumper to bumper warranty that they just started trying to find loopholes in the contract to not honor it anymore. I see the writing on the wall so it's just time to move on and the trd pro has exactly the right amount of rare enthusiast functionality for me to get into.

Deposits are refundable. I had to check a bunch of dealers too. Try some others in PA, and definitely check NJ. I had no luck in Manhattan or Queens.

haha I feel you. Check out Koch33 Toyota in PA. They have 3 Lunar Rock PROs in stock. 4k over sticker but I bet if you go in and are ready to get it done then and there that they play ball. They are a legit great dealer too. Not like the trash by us now.

Where are you seeing them as in stock? I had a ton of problems calling all over with places that say in stock on websites only to be spoken for already without in being updated yet. Also, a few places wouldn’t sell out of state to me.

Right on their website. I bought two cars from them, sight unseen.. from nyc. Both were listed over. I called in (sales guy not there anymore) told them I was serious and could wrap it up that day if they could too. I bought one car at a time so it wasn't a two car deal either. They are super fast, friendly, and got it done. I'd call over for sure. And for some odd reason, they get a ton of inventory on PROs that most don't get.

I think my urgency and ability to get it done immediately is what made them waive their upsell charges. I was adamant I would do it NOW. So yeah, call when you're ready ready. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

I guess I got super lucky. I have a LR Pro on order that is supposed to be at port on 7/28. Dealer thought it would be delivered sometime late August to early September. Well my dealer called me this evening and said they had one coming in with everything I ordered on mine (this one has running boards too, but I’ll just toss those) in a couple of days and that I could have it if I wanted it because the guy who ordered it backed out.

I got lucky the same way! I randomly checked a local dealer's website (Jim Coleman Toyota, Bethesda, MD) late on a Friday night and it showed two 4R's and checked it again on Saturday afternoon (5/08/21) and it now showed four 4R's. A LR Pro was due to arrive. Called immediately and it was unclaimed. Placed the $500 deposit immediately and told it was due to arrive on 5/19. It arrived early on 5/13. I had to pay $2,000 above MSRP, but given the current market I was fine with that. This vehicle was ordered by someone else that apparently lost patience and found one elsewhere. Just yesterday I got two different comments about the cool color. The first guy wanted to know if it was a custom paint job since he had never seen that color before! Two months and 3,600 mile in, I am really pleased with this LR Pro 4R! I have yet to remove the Predator Step Tubes which I will soon. I intend to do the Pro rack modified delete which essentially removes the upper tube from the rack and gives it a more streamlined look and functional use.

Yeah at this point, it's looking less probable that I even get one at all.

I talked to the manager of the store and they were just now fulfilling orders from 4-5 months ago so if I put my order in at the end of May I may be SOL.

If I can't get a LR then I might have to reconsider what I'm getting.

Koons Toyota with six dealerships in the Maryland / Northern Virginia area is showing four Pro's. Three of them are at $67,000 and one Lunar Rock is at $69,000. It looks like they are all inbound.
