Long time tacomaworld lurker part time contributor. Selling my Taco on Saturday for a ridiculous amount of money (resale value is amazing on these things). Once sold I will be in the market for a 5th gen 4Runner.

    Couple questions.....
    1. I want a trail edition, but do not offer it with a sunroof?
    2. Buy new or certified used with less than 25k miles? They are basically the same price it seems.

2014 Premium Trails have moon roofs as an option.
Yes sir, same price in my area (AZ).

    Good luck!

Well we went with a 2016 certified used SR5 with the 3rd row. Only has 9000 miles on it. Wheels, tires and lift will be on order soon!

I'm debating between 275's and 285's. I really didn't like the amount of power loss my 285's gave me on my Tacoma is it similar with the 4Runner?

My 2014 T4R is significantly underpowered, so I stuck with 275s. Also, no engine/intake/exhaust mods (yet) to try to solve the power issue.

Any significant power loss with the 275's?

    Minimal, but noticeable.

Did you get 275s? They can be had in 6-ply also.

Can I ask what was the major factor(s) in letting go of a Tacoma for a T4R were for you?

    Glad you scored your sunroof.

Wife and I are thinking of trading my Taco for a T4R. I want the TE but am not sold on the Crawl Control and MTS, yes the rear locker is neat but honestly I need it to get me to and from work in snow. Max we get is maybe 14" once every 6-10 years lol... And get us out on the beaches of the Outer Banks.

So I am thinking SR5 Premium. But with the sliding tray as we would camp in it from time to time. I could use a level floor.
