I have a 2015 Tacoma Trd sport, and is being bought back from Toyota becuase of defective leaf springs that cant be fixed. I am looking at A 4runner trail, i love how the tacoma drives and the 4runner and go off roading a lot, is there any thing i should know or get before buying? My dad has had 3 4runners all lasting 300,000 miles and loved them. So i am not worried about reliability or satisfaction, just wondering if i am making a right decision coming from a truck.

If you think your Taco drove nice, just wait until you get behind the wheel of a new 4runner. I traded in my 2014 Off Road 4x4 for a 2016 SR5 4x4 and could not be happier. It seems like a much better made vehicle to me.

Yea when i test drove it i felt the same, it is not as rough. The tacos are made cheap now because they own the small truck market and make them cheap to make more money, and it is hurting toyota becaise know they have to buy mine back. Also the 4runner seems so mich better quality because they are still made in Japan if i am not miskateing

They are 100% made in Japan in the same factory as the land cruiser. They share the same platform, pure quality.
