Wiring CaliRaised LED Dual Function light bar and slim single row bumper light bar and AOB Switches

    I’m going to preface this post with the fact that I’m not the best at wiring and definitely not the fastest. It took most of the day working in the Texas heat to wire up my lights and switches.


    To start, I looked at what all I wanted without having to run multiple fuse taps or add-a-fuses and decided to use an Overland Equipped Complete Auxiliary Power Kit for 5th GenerationToyota 4Runners (2010 - 2019) https://overlandequipped.com/collec...-for-5th-generation-toyota-4runners-2010-2019


    I also used a Blue Sea Systems 8 Circuit ST Blade ATO/ATC Fuse Block 5046 Blue Sea Systems ST Blade ATO/ATC Fuse Blocks https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BV1MTF0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_BNJ63202EE9XEZZWRWZ4?_encoding=UTF8


    and four (4) Air-On-Board Toyota Push Switches using the light blue lighting to match the OEM switch colors. https://www.aironboard.com/online/products/switches/toyota-push-switches.html


    I also bought the CaliRaised LED Relay Holder https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07198SJ6..._glt_fabc_Q82ZZN0EJEBGE2S0YVYG?_encoding=UTF8


    Since the auxiliary power kit bolts into the same location as the relay holder I ended up bolting the relay holder to the fuse box cover. It may not be the best place for it but it was the best place I could find after spending half the day in the sun.

    The install for both of these is pretty straightforward so i’m not going to get into detail on these.

    Next I used the Blue Sea Systems 8 Circuit ST Blade ATO/ATC Fuse Block 5046 under the dash. I used this to limit the add-a-fuse to only one. I wired the add-a-fuse to the terminal post on the 5046 fuse block, this allowed me to wire the dash light power wires for each switch to one fuseable power block. Each switch is only 3 amps so I didn’t have any concerns with running everything off one add-a-fuse.

    Again, this may not be the best location for this fuse block but I was hot and tired at this point so that’s where it’s until I get around to moving it. Luckily, I don’t use the parking brake very often.

    I had to remove the windshield wiper defrost switch since it gets no use here in the Houston Area and I moved the AC Power switch down to the single blank location below the main switch panel so that I could get the switches I actually use in the same location.


    I’ve looked for the different setups that didn’t use the expensive switch panels and couldn’t find anything that used one source to power the switches when the headlights were turned on so I thought I’d share.

    Yes sir, heat exhaustion was starting to set in so my wife made me come in before I could clean up the wiring under the dash.
