Noob leveling kit question

Hi Everyone,

The wife is wanting to level out my 4runner for father's day and I am not going to say no. I do not need to spend a bunch of money on a full suspension lift kit but I just want my 4runner sitting level. I take it on mild trails but really I am using it as a daily driver and shuttling my two kids around. 4Wheelparts has a pro comp nitro 3 inch leveling kit that has caught my eye. 3 inches in the front and 2 in the back. Im currently running stock Falken Wildpeaks AT3s.

Any feedback on this kit or pics of what this lift would look like with stock size All terrain tires.

Ive looked all around the site and found some helpful info but figured I would toss this out before I pull the trigger. Here is my current set up. Thanks in advance for all of the wisdom!

 

I’m not sure I get the concept of 3” / 2” level unless you want to put larger tires on. A simple 1” spacer for the front will do what you want and makes more sense to me assuming you plan on keeping the same wheels and tires.

Your rig looks killer btw.

 

That’s the part I’m struggling with...haha. I in time would like to put bigger tires on once my current wildpeaks are done. So I’m thinking take it when I can get it and go bigger tires later.

 

Looking at the pic, it looks level to me.love those Wild Peaks. I have a set on my 3rd gen. Which is my avater pic.
I have a 2016 gen 5 also, and it sits level.
Just finished leveling my '98. Very pleased how it turned out.

 

My opinion:

A 3/2 lift is too big. Especially when you're using it as a daily driver and hopping in and out of it all the time. Not sure how tall your wife is.

Something you could do is get a Bilstein 5100 or an Eibach adjustable front shock and set it on the second clip. This will give you roughly an inch of lift up front but you'll still have some factory rake. Or you could set it to the 3rd clip and have it dead nuts level. You also have a 4th clip option that will give you a 2.5" lift up front, but you'll probably want a spacer or a taller coil for the rear at that point.

At least with this option you can do a mild lift now and add more height when you get bigger tires rather than having to buy a whole new suspension set-up.

 

3/2 lift with 295’s. It’s my daily and have zero complaints. I was on the fence too with larger tires and knew I would eventually go that route, so I saved myself time and money and just did it all in one go. I’m actually going to bump to 305’s once these tires wear out, it’s a never ending cycle

 

Thanks everyone for all of the responses! I pulled the trigger right now and went for it. I figure once my current Wildpeaks run down I can go to a bigger tire but when the opportunity presents itself, go for it. And the wife presented one, hahaha. Excited for how it will turn out.
