OK - so we know about the Sport () and presumably the 2022 Pro color (‍) but is that it?

Or might there still be other changes yet to be announced?

Also haven’t seen any availability dates for anything yet - any ideas when the new lineup typically becomes available?

    Interesting -

I saw that the new Sport mentioned LED high beams, but it was unclear if that applies to all 2022’s or just that package.

Would love to see the cargo tray offered on the OR -

From the web I've read (for US market MY2022):

    All 4Runners get LED High/Low beam/Fogs

Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic added to OR Prem,

Above plus Bird's Eye view/Multi Terrain Monitor to OR Pro

Someone posted a link to Toyota Fleet regarding order banks but I don't think there was a order opening date. IIRC from other fleet sites 4Runner has been last few years : order bank ends ~ early May and new MY opens early June. This year, who knows? I don't be surprised if there is a delay on the MY2022 order bank opening. Toyota may want to address production of the remaining MY2021s first. And may have component issues delaying the new MY.

I think in 2012 there was no Land Cruiser built for US, tho that was prob for different reasons. But you never know with supply ...

    EDIT for LC year

With the new UCA's, it's probably an indication that Pro lift heights are higher than they were in the past.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pro tops $55K MSRP.

Well people already pay $10k above msrp for the current year. Clearly Toyota figures people will pay the extra few thousand lol

Is there a source for the BSM and the cross traffic and 360 cam? I’m thinking of installing a 360 camera in my 2021, but I am scared of the sheer amount of work involved.

Read it on that, "other 4R" site, in a thread about Lunar Rock and Army Green available for 2022, pg 3. :spy:

I'd be interested in a camera parts upgrade on a 22 ORP but from what I've read on here about trim level interchangeability I doubt Toyota will make that easy...

Ooh yes an OEM solution would be swell and we wouldn’t have to drill holes in to the side mirrors and the front bumper

I think I am posted excited for the UCAs!!! The look incredible! I hope they are rubber bushings (I am sure they will be). Ill be ordering a set as soon as they are available to get through parts dept... assuming they rant going to be more than $700. Second choice is JBAs

They will be more than $700, IMO.

Billet aluminum UCAs are pricey......plus they're anodized and they have a TRD logo.

I'm sticking with my guess of $1,800 but I could be wrong.

Edit: They are actually forged aluminum UCA's. Not sure if that's a more or less expensive process than billet. We will see.......but that's assuming they also come on the 4Runner Pro. We've only seen them on the Tacoma Pro so far.

Thanks Northern 4runner for that video !

I did "drop by my dealer" today, and also spoke with another, and they both say no build sheet yet for MY22. I did get the impression the release date might be later rather than sooner so I'm thinking maybe end July now ??

Fellow in the vid mentioned Panoramic View for the TRD OR in Canada (like current Tacoma ORP here) which would be great. As would LR or AG colours if avail here. Gonna be a long wait for a '22 tho ...

I’m from BC as well, and if these rumors for the TRD OR are true, I’m going to be really glad I held off for a 2022. Lunar Rock + Blindspot/RCT + Panoramic view would be amazing. I’m going to have a hard time keeping a poker face at the dealership while negotiating my trade in haha.

I know this might make some people unhappy (sorry in advance). But out of curiosity if your buying a 4Runner, why spend over $10-15k more than an SR5 or SR5 premium?

I get it if you like the paint color. But other than that I don’t understand. I see so many TRD Pro in the same colors as the SR5? Is it for the TRD stickers? That is a heck of a lot of money for what seems like nothing special (again sorry if I offended you by saying that. I know those that spent the money already don’t want to hear that). I like all 4Runners I just don’t understand the hype for the TRD Pro.

Anyways I am not trying to make people mad. Just trying to truly understand what the big deal is (and to think people are spending over MSRP for the TRD Pro baffles me).

Huge difference between sr5 and trd. I personally (because of my needs and how I use my vehicle) would never get an sr5 only a trd. The trd comes with a manual transfer case and rear locker. Most people don't need or use it but I do

Thank you for responding. I would like to prove something here…

For the $15k in savings I had, this is what I did to my SR5 Premium 4Runner:
    7905990C-F68F-492A-9F99-095CE8E9B622.jpg
    • 3 Lockers Front/Rear/Center
    • Re-gear to .488
    • Steel front bumper for better approach angles
    • Full skid plates to protect the transfer case and transmission
    • Front winch
    • Awning
    • Gobi roof rack + ladder
    • ARB dual compressor with 1 gallon tank
    • Hybrid bead lockers for wheels & 285/75/17 tires
    • Recovery gear
    • Upgraded speakers
    • Ironman Foam cell pro suspension
    • Total of 4” of ground clearance over stock which happens to also be 4” higher than TRD Pro
    • Switch pro system
    • Awning
    • Rock sliders
    • Hi-lift jack
I will be happy to compete with a TRD Pro and compare capabilities. My point is not to have a pissing contest. I just truly don’t understand how the little things you get quantify $15k in up charge. Again paint jobs are expensive so if your going after the color then I completely understand. Other than that I am puzzled.

To each there own I am just trying to point out that I truly don’t believe you get $15k dollars worth of stuff for the TRD Pro model. Wonder if I can get $90k for mine with todays market. Call it a SR5 Pro. ;)

Nice rig, some folks want OEM, holds value better, and easier to sell. I personally don’t think I’d get a pro, as I am not a fan of sun roofs. We just traded in our limited 4Runner, found a good deal and the wife really liked it. It was modified before we bought it, and when we traded, we lost some money due to the mods.

I don't need or want a pro either, heck my off road wasn't even a premium but a regular plain Jane offroad

Yeah I understand that aftermarket might not hold value but it is for me and I don’t plan on ever selling this thing. 1 million miles here I come. :)

That’s the way I feel about my Tacoma, but yet I’m thinking I might want another 4Runner.

Yeah I have 4 kids so I needed the SR5 with 3rd row. I like the Tacoma. My dad had his for over 10 years and still sold it for over $10k and he had the basic of all models. Manual roll down windows. Those are perfect trucks. If my family wasn’t as big I would probably have got one of those for overlanding. I really like Toyota’s line up. I owned a Tundra, 4Runner but never a Tacoma as I knew it would be to small for my size of family.
