Installed a gobi today,

Picked it up last week, got a shop to throw autobahn i3 all the way around for the tint, air80 on the windshield.

also got it ceramic coated and the roof wrapped under the gobi with black vinyl.

 

Installed the R1 Concept Slotted Rotors and Off-road Pads.

 

New ones from eBay. Under $20, a few different sellers available. Heavy, seem to be good quality, came with 3M already cut exact to fit tho the tape doesn’t hide entirely under the logos but only noticed from an angle if you’re looking for it. Sooo much better looking of an emblem.

 

That looks awesome! does the hoop interfere with the radar cruise control? what kind of winch is that? I'm researching bumpers and I have a Warn m800 winch already, I'm going to service it and go to synthetic line and Hawse fairlead

 

I fabbed up a mounting rail for the cargo area. I can put a couple of quick fists for stuff and have a first aid kit handy and it gives me a place to attach my walk home bag

 

Been thinking of adding something like that to the bezel above glove box for phones and what not but not sure if it would interfere with airbag

 

It would definitely suck if the airbag launched a piece of metal into your face!!

Drained 6.5 quarts of Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 and removed an OEM oil filter.

Installed a new OEM oil filter and filled with 6.5 quarts of Castrol Edge 0W-20.

Finally got around to leather wrap on the steering wheel. of all my past vic's this was the most PITA, but got it done in 3hrs. Not to terrible.
Picked up some black thread to stitch it up with, all the picks/vids with the red thread and red stitching... was just to much red for me.

 

For the fluid titanium technology...I know a guy that knows a guy that says it is truly phenomenal stuff.

Just the accessory mounts out there, even the side panels at your legs seem they’d block some visibility to the limited shield there is
Getting some communication things together that are required at certain places sooooo gonna have to get creative

More wiring more planning got the water hooked up for the Jerry now to finish license plate and rear back ups.

Yeah, I agree. When I travel and leave the 4R unattended for long periods of time (like overnight or when day hiking) I hide everything inside the cargo area under a dark tarp. Your mounting system lends itself to incognito mode well. Good idea.

 

Got everything loaded up and ready to be installed tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing how it's gonna ride compared to stock. (Hopefully they get it done tomorrow)

Thanks! Those are Wheeler's T1 coils. They should provide around 2.5" of lift.

Absolutely nothing. Haven't driven my 4Runner in two weeks. My dad gifted me his prized possession. A 2007 Chevy HHR LT with 209k miles on it.

He bought a new Toyota Rav4 about a year ago and let his old HHR sit under a carport out in the rural Idaho backcountry. Finally gave it to me a couple of weeks ago and I've been cleaning and scrubbing it ever since.

Really impressed with this little car. I get 30.5 MPG commuting to work, compared to 16 mpg in the 4Runner. It is quiet, comfortable, and the oil looks like new after 4000 miles on the last change with 209k miles on a little 2.0 4-banger. Everything still works, and I get all sorts of looks and thumbs up driving this horrid little car to work. Weird.

 

Yes unfortunately this one fits the bill and should be dispatched, everyone thinks it’s great to try and interact with wild animals, imagine a little kid seeing that and wanting to go near it.. not good stay safe out there in the woods always carry a gun in bear county

 

We've had a family of foxes appear at work the past couple of weeks. I've been going to their Den site and whistling at them and their pups lately. Great fun watching them play and resist approaching me.
