We've been playing this on the "other" 4Runner website, but that site is starting to suck; there's little traffic especially to the photo game, and I find it harder and harder to navigate the forum especially from mobile devices.

So, I'm going to try and start the game here on 4Runners.com...

The objective of this game is to get people out driving / exploring and taking pictures.

I will post the first "challenge" in the next post down, and then the first person to drive their 4Runner (or similar utility based vehicle) to a location listed in the challenge, take a picture of the 4Runner or a part of it with the challenge visible in the background and post that picture, then picks a new challenge for everyone.

    One challenge at a time.

If more than one person gets the challenge then the "winner" and the picker of the new challenge is whoever posted their picture first.

You have to drive to get a picture in response to a challenge, so you can't just go through old pics and find one that meets the challenge and then post it.

Remember, the idea is to drive and have fun and keep the game flowing. It's not to post an impossible challenge that no one can get.

In the event of a dispute about who-knows-what I reserve the right to intervene and make a ruling, so as to keep the game flowing.

And, lastly, in the event that the challenge is difficult and it languishes for more than 72 hours, anyone can reset it by posting a photo of their 4Runner in front of a well known local landmark and then issuing a new challenge.

    Questions? Post 'em.

    Let's play!

Not really expecting anyone to have gotten this yet but just bumping it up to keep it on the front page.

Your 4R with a scenic route, scenic byway, or similar type sign...

    Bump!

C'mon... if I have learned nothing else about you social media lovin' IG postin' Iphone 12 havin' SOBs it's that you love taking pics of your 4Runner every time you stop for more than six seconds!!!!

Parlay that into grabbing the pic for this game and then posting the next challenge!

"A scenic road / scenic byway / related sign"

    or

since more than 72 hrs elapsed, a pic "in front of a well-known local landmark"

Example of the scenic road sign:

Ok, here’s a local landmark near Kanab, UT. Just got back from a 4WD and hiking excursion there.

The site of Pareah. A ghost town in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paria,_Utah

It was also the setting for lots of movies in the 1940s - 1970s.

Let me know if this is good enough for the roadkill challenge. That is the hood of my "4Runner" ;) and this was not something I could pull over to get the pic.

Works for me. The Runner is in the pic, & dead is dead.

NEXT CHALLENGE: Your 4Runner in the process of getting a modification, some type of maintenance, or at least a "spa" treatment.

Also, for those who are not familiar with my "4Runner", I have owned two 4Runners... a 2010 Trail for several years and wish I had the sense enough to have kept it, and then a '20 ORP that I did not love and was too nice for my farm. So I ditched it for this old Land Cruiser but I still like this game and since MeefZah brought it over from the other 4R forum, I am kind of grandfathered in. :D

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
Very nice pic of the Bell 206. Those have been around nearly as long as the Huey!

Oh, BTW, the 4Runner looks really nice too. I'd rather the B-206, but I'd take the Runner in a pinch :p :infantry::laughing:

    Have fun, all!

Finally! I had a reason to tow something today to meet the latest challenge. I sold $500 of old barn roofing to a guy without a trailer. I charged him another $50 for delivering it down the road to him so I got paid to take the "tow something" challenge pic.:bananadance:

Next challenge: Your 4Runner/similar with a dog in the pic.
