    Hi ALL

Picking up my new 2021 TRD/ORP this coming Saturday. The color is Magnetic Grey Metallic.
There are only 2 changes I want to make.
    1. Change tires to BF Goodrich All-Terrain TA's

    2. Possibly re-paint the front fascia (from silver) to either black or body color. Which do you think would look better ? Opinions welcome. Thanks.

I don't think the silver looks bad. Just....well...boring. LOL

I had the front and rear painted professionally and it makes a world of difference.

I hated the silver valance. Finally removed it and chopped out the piece behind it for a bumper. Whatever you do in the front should also be done to the back valance.

This is one of the reasons I wish SR5 had some of the features the Off-Road provides, such as the manual transfer case shifter and rear locker.

Black.....the painter color matched it to the Heritage grill piece. After some wear, it looks almost identical in color. It makes a MASSIVE difference in the look, both front and back. Definitely worth the money IMO.

Thank you ALL for your replies. Much appreciate it. So, I guess I will either have the two pieces professionally painted, or just order the parts from a Toyota dealer for the TRD/PRO which sounds like they already come black from the Factory.
I used the Forum's search feature as recommended above. Just the two changes I want to do, does in fact dramatically change the look of the ORP.
Can't believe what a difference it makes.

I'll have to check and see what the price difference would be having both valences professionally painted including off and back on labor versus purchase of the PRO replacements and the off and back on labor. Might be a wash (?)

But thanks again guys. This Forum is so helpful.

PXL_20210425_224829337.jpg It makes a huge difference in the appearance, I just did this on my 21' ORP. For me it was cheaper to order and install the pro pieces vs having the factory ones painted or wrapped. Plus I was able to get both installed on about an hour and a half so down time was minimal.

Thanks Allout for your response and photo. Sure does make a big difference. Yea, with that little downtime, I'll just buy the PRO replacements and do the labor myself. Can't be that difficult.
When you installed yours, did you order any extra clips, or other hardware to install the new ones ?

No extra clips needed, everything is so new they came off without any breaking like they usually do when they are a couple years old. I also did mine without removing the bumpers, the rear was tricker then the front but I got it done.

Please confirm for the original poster that the pieces you ordered came in BLACK. I ordered both valences from my local dealer and the parts showed up silver. I was told that they would be black from the factory, but when they arrived the service advisor changed and said they all come in silver. That is why I went to a paint shop!
If yours came in black, maybe post the actual part numbers so OP has full information.

    Part #'s I ordered
53901-35250 & 52169-35120. A member in the forum helped me out with this and steered me towards lagrange toyota for ordering.

WOW!! Thanks Alloutdoors1 for the info. Much appreciated.

I just posted my new ORP here on the Forum. For me, the silver valences look OK. But the black just looks better. Thanks again.

I'm curious as to how you did the rear without removing the bumper...I thought that was necessary.

That's what I read to but don't like removing plastic panels like bumpers of I don't have to as they have a chance to not go back together exactly like they were. What I did was open the hatch and I removed all the bolts at the bumper lip, then there are two clips towards the middle I removed and then I removed the ones behind the rear mud flaps. That gave me enough wiggle room in the bumper to get my hand in there too remove the clips. I had my wife hold up the new valance so I could see the approximate location of the clips. The two closest to the hitch were the toughest.

wish they came in a non-gloss black. Still good to know it’s an option. I’m changing mine as well.

I used Plasti Dip on mine. After 15 months being sandblasted on Arizona roads, it still looks pretty good. Pro Grill 4.16.21.jpg
