Think the 2022 MY will have any extra bells and whistles?

All I know is that the resale value of the 4Runner is about to plummet.

"Regular" 87 Octane (<15% Ethanol) here has gone from $1.75 to $2.75 in about two months time.

    That's like a 66% increase!

    Thanks, Biden.

Guess I'll just be taking this "stimmy" and sending it right on over to the Middle East.

I'm not hateful against the Middle East, or anything like that, but this is the dumbest way to "stimulate" the US that I've ever seen.

My 2021 ORP is scheduled to hit the U.S. Port TODAY. Now another 2-4 weeks wait to get to my dealer. Pout. Sure glad I bought a 2021.
I wonder if the 2022's will be even more difficult to get once it becomes common knowledge it will be the last of the 5th Generation ?

Haha.. well the pay is terribly less here, too. :p

I couldn't believe what my cousin was being paid in San Francisco, compared to the wages here! Literally double.

I also had no idea that there was even such a thing as 85 octane until I recently drove out West.

I appreciate the input and that was an interesting video. But, I think many people have misunderstood my original question.

I am not talking about the next generation vehicle. I am talking about 2022 vs. 2021 Model Year (same gen). I want to know if Toyota will be adding the simple little things that already exist on Canadian models. In particular, I noticed that the TRD Pro in Canada has LED turn signals in the mirrors (like the TRD ORP and Venture) and that the TRD ORP and Venture in Canada have Dual Zone Climate Control and Auto On/Off Headlights, which their counterparts in the USA do not.

Your guess is as good as ours. At this point, I can't think of anything that would really matter. I personally don't "miss" LED headlights so I don't care that I have a 2020 and not a 2021. The TSS and apple car-play is all that was added for 2020.. also kind of tiny things that most wouldn't consider deal breakers. If you want a new vehicle now, go for it. If you're in no rush and there is something in particular you're holding out for, why wouldn't you wait?

    researching 2021 TRD OR, now a 22
Hello All, new guy here, researching a possible new 4Runner...

A quick google fu says per capita 4Runner sales in Canada are a little better than half those in the USA. Different markets I suppose, so Toyota alters model trims a bit, or offers fewer choices. For eg all new 4Rs are 4x4 here (same for Ford Ranger) and I think all have a moon roof and at least Softex seats. The TD OR here is only that-no Premium but it includes KDSS, plastic running boards, and the aforementioned moon roof. All for ~42.6K USD. That's the model I'm interested in, either order '21 now or '22 later.

As for 2022 changes, I guess it might depend on the MY for the new Gen. If it's to be MY2023 then prob no extra goodies for MY2022. If later, then there may be something, I'd take an 8 way power passenger seat !

Yes, I think since the Canadian market is smaller, they have chosen to create certain bundles which means we do not get to pick and choose certain options like in the US where you can add a moon roof or KDSS on specific models .
I think the sweet spot in Canada is the TRD Off Road, just picked mine up two months ago and I am very pleased.
One interesting note is that on the Toyota Canada web site the model comparison chart shows that only the Venture an Pro models come with ATRAC ? This must be an error since my 2021 Off Road doers have ATRAC in addition to Crawl Control etc.

Flawless? So you are okay with the kazoo noise coming from the drivers door window at highway speeds and the wind is blowing?
