Was fixing something else Wednesday and noticed the lines to the passenger compartment heater were badly rotted. Pulled em, they broke as I was pulling them, have it bypassed right now.

5/16 SAE SEA30 R7 soft hose looks like it could work, found a example on google of this repair.

Dorman sells a replacement hard line kit like the OEM lines for about $70

Anyone repaired these lines before and have insight?

I should say the lines are to the rear seat heater. Run down the firewall, along the frame, then up to the heater core for the back seat.

Sent a pm with a question, but just in case I was wondering if you are aware of a part number for these two lines. I have a 2000 toyota 4runner limited and these lines burst. I've googled, rear heater coolant lines, rear passenger heater coolant lines. I can't find anything that matches exactly to be able to replace these lines. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Go to partsouq.com. Put in your vin. Use the mouseable diagrams to find the part. It may take you a while as some parts are in odd sections sometimes. I have never failed to find a part I've really needed there.

Also...the parts desk at your local dealer will find it for you too.

Just a bit of road grime so far.
Soft copper works and it won’t rust.

I don't think Dorman has a great reputation for quality. Same with Moog, avoid them they aren't good
