    North of Yuma, AZ on the trail to the Big Eye mine. Went with my folks friends who do the run in UTVs and lifted Jeeps. 4Runner did great and barely scraped in a couple of spots. They were impressed.

    Just came back from 6 days on the Mojave Road, Joshua Tree, Death Valley. Still working on the trip blog but here's a few pics of the 4R looking all 'gramworthy (if only I had an IG, or any social media...). I'm pretty sure my wife is over me taking pictures of the 4Runner. She just rolls her eyes and hunkers down in her seat... except the one where she was driving through the water, that one she was all about...

    Great pictures! We lived 2 yrs in Tucson & 2 in Phoenix when I was in grade school. You really make me want to return.
    On that topic; my wife's childhood friend is moving to the Phoenix metro. Maybe we will get a trip back. I want to move back but owning a lawn, landscape & snow removal business makes that difficult.

    Went up to Four Peaks starting off the 87 freeway and then on our way back down we went down the route that leads to highway 188. Then we got off on route 88 at the Roosevelt Dam and drove to Apache Lake. I found out that the 88 (dirt road between Canyon lake and Apache lake) is closed because of a landslide a couple years back that Arizona isn’t fixing (even private companies offered to use their equipment and they were told no). Anyways then drove to Globe and back home. It was a great adventure.
