replaced the spark plugs and wires with NGKs. Was just going to do the plugs but found one of the connectors on drivers side wires was broken off on the spark plug. Should run much better now!!

CEL on. Misfire on cylinder 2. Poured in Techron fuel injector cleaner and changed spark plugs and cables with NGK's. CEL off. Hopefully it stays off. If not, the next step will be testing the coils.

Most likely a faulty fuel injector, I had that code on my 2001 Tacoma with the 3.4. I went ahead and changed all 6 and the code never returned.

It's probably the fuel injector like you said, but I might as well go through the steps and hope I get lucky with the cheap solution.

Installed a new fuel injector for cylinder #2 last night to resolve CEL P0302 on my 99 runner. Followed instructions from here. I took the advice from some of the comments in that post and did not remove the throttle body from the upper manifold. I also did not disconnect the fuel line from the fuel bar. I just lifted the fuel bar up enough to pop out the injector. It took about 2.5 hours, which I think is pretty good for a rookie, because I invested a lot of time in keeping all those screws and bolts organized as they were removed. I hope P0302 is gone for good now.

Installed a B&M 70268 transcooler and new Strongarm liftgate supports. The transcooler install went well, but it was a pain-in-the-ass to get the old hoses off the lines coming out of transmission. There is very little room up there, but I was able to cut them off with a razor blade.

Got 90% of the parts for the rear diff breather mod. No Stealerships around here, but I got one up in Denver that is going to hold it. I'll pick it up when I get the sliders installed.

Love that white and black look. I want some fender flares like that, but pretty sure those are the stock ones on the 98,yeah?

80 degrees here this week has motivated me to order new remanufactured AC compressor from Amazon yesterday. It was shot when I purchased the car a while back and I have been putting the project on the back burner. Time to get it done !

Yes sir they are stock for the Limiteds, mine were originally silver and painted them black. This is what it looked like the day I bought her.

What a shame! The 2000's don't have that flare look on the 4wd SR5 model. I want some aftermarket flares but I can't find them anywhere
