Baja Build help (FNG)

Hello everyone. Im looking to start a project on my 2015 SR5 4x4.
I am hoping to get some help / advise on a suspension lift and front / rear bumper.

I was looking into a few Toytec options, and was curious about the benefits of going with
the: Old Man EMU 2.5 - 3'' lift V.S. the simple: 3" lift with Bilstein 5100 front coil overs? Will the 3" lift increase body roll?

I also plan on adding both front and rear bumpers, relentless shrockworks, or something similar at a latter date, so weight will be added....

Can anyone shed some light on what a decent set up would be?

My goal is to take the truck on a few long trips into baja this summer, and would like to have a good set up to play around in the hills and some mild / moderate off road driving up in northern California where I live.

Mainly the truck is a daily driver, so I want to keep it simple, but capable if that makes sense.

With what you plan to add on to your 4runner. I suggest doing coilovers from Fox/King/Icon. You will have far more adjustment possibilities as well as being able to swap springs if your front end weight becomes really heavy and sags.

I also suggest Metal Tech rear springs as i've had the toytec and absolutely hated them.

Thanks for the info. Im down in Pacifica a few miles south of SF.

 

Budget for the suspension is around 2K. Maybe more. One of the reasons I want to upgrade the stock suspension is to help mellow out the body roll.

What do you guys think about the Bilstein 6112's or 5100's ?

 

also not rebuildable. With your type of wheeling you want to do that should be a big factor for you.

 

Ahh ok. I did see "lifetime warranty" on the Bilsteins. But if they leak that frequently i'm sure it would be a pain in the ass to deal with.
I will probably go with the stage one Icon set up, and maybe opt for a set of UCA's from a cheaper company.
