I am looking to buy steel wheels to mount winter tires on. I will keep the OEM wheels with the highway tires, and switch out the wheels for seasonal driving. Does anybody know where i can buy steel wheels for my 2019 TRD off road premium ?

    Thanks.

You can buy them directly from the dealer as far as I know. Or on the inter webs. Your spare tire rim is one. Also the steel FJ rims are the same thing.

A quick search and found this.

You can also likely find SR5 take offs for very reasonable prices. Might be a good alternative for about the same price if you can find them.

All the pros are shipped here with steel wheels which are then swapped for the pro rims. Where do all those sets of steels go?

Just curious, but why not get a second of alloys? Steel wheels are typically heavier and more apt to look like crap when they get rusty from winter conditions.

And old thread, but today I will drop off 4 Toyota steel spares and 4 Cooper Snow Claws (studded) to have mounted/balanced.
I bought the steelies from McGeorgeToyota.com , they sell a lot of OEM parts via e-bay. Got a JBL subwoofer enclosure from them too though
I haven't decided what to do with it yet.

Curious, why steelies? I see new SR5 take-offs for like $150 (for a set).

It sounds ridiculous but i like the look of steelies in the winter. To your point, I may just get a new set of SR5 though. Just makes sense $$$.

You have any Pick n Pull salvage yards around your area? We have a bunch in California and it would be the first place I would check for spare wheels. Pull them off a junked 4Runner for a matching alloy set or find 4 junked 4Runners and grab their steel spares. Just make sure to check for damage and none of them are warped.

Edit: just noticed OP posted in 2019. Bad habit of not looking lol

Only pain for me (I'm old, older than the hills) is that the steel wheels are heavy BUT heavy is good in ice/snow I think. I do love the steelie look.
I wasn't smart enough to find any take-off for $150 a set! Dang good price that is. I paid over $400 for a set of new brand name (Toyota) steelies.
Truthfully I've never changed a tire before in my whole life until I switched out the TRD+KO2s for the steel+Snow Claw's. Learned a lot and now
own a floor jack (econo model from Autozone), breaker bar, torque wrench. In 6 more weeks (ish) I'll change back. Here my current set up-

Yea, this is what I like! Just can't find them anywhere! Did you buy them direct from a dealer?

There are a lot of stock wheels on Facebook marketplace for cheap, so maybe I'll just go with those. I also like the idea of the salvage yard (pull the spares off). I'll look into that.

I called 3 junk yards in my area. Nothing. Then I called 2 dealers thinking take-offs. Nothing.
Then went to e-bay and found an on-line Toyota dealer to solve my steelie hunt.
Do what we have to do.
I'll tell ya though, I wouldn't mind the 'steelie' look in aluminum.

Are they the basic black Steelies that will fit stock tires?

One dealer in my quest for steelies told me I just missed a big sell off by 3 weeks. They sold 10 sets :(
I'm new to all of this, and when googling steel rims I got bamboozled by all the factors like off-set. Then I crawled under the 4R and looked at the spare
    and said 'aha'.
I'm on the east coast so used McGeorge-
    https://parts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/search?search_str=steel+rims
They also sold me a sub-woofer enclosure we used in the cargo area for my new audio system....same enclosure
used in the JBL system. Quick to ship.

Yes Sir - they will fit stock size tires.

Finslayer83 on the other board put me on to these. He had his powder coated gray:

Anyone know how you get the tire pressure mounts on these? I’d rather not have a blinking tire pressure gauge on all winter.

I've gone without TPMS on these winter season tires for a month now and don't even notice the light....but mine is solid and not blinking.

Looks great but I can get them at factory ready wheels for $87 each. Anyway you can do better on the price?

Someone please talk me out of buying steelies and pizza cutters for my Runner. I'm thinking the Cooper STT MAXX in 255/80R17. Yeah, I know the wheels can rust and they are heavier than my Black Rhino's. The MAXX's are heavier than my AT3W's too. I loved the MAXX's I had on my FJ (255/85R16). I would definitely have the wheels powderpainted. I need help.

FJ cruiser wheels are a direct bolt on.

Road ready wheels sells Chinese knock offs that look very similar but don’t fit the Toyota center caps.

I'd like to find a set of 4 SR5 "snowflake" alloys for $150. On Craigslist they start @ $300 & go up from there.

Hey just got my Steelies installed. Def did not order center caps but it looks like the front wheels have center caps and the rears don’t? Or maybe just the axle difference? Very confused. Any ideas?
