Anyone have a more direct way to contact them? I've used the website contact page twice over the past week to place an order and haven't heard a word...

I don't have FB, but they just posted something earlier today to their page "Detours Off Road Hardware". Else, you may need to drive to Maine!

Last year when I bought mine he was pretty quick on the fb messenger, most likely because it's an app on his phone and more convenient to reply on when he is working. I believe he is a one man show. For what it's worth I have been happy with my Knuckle Bone.
And it did take about 10 weeks or more, but he met my dead line of the week before Labor Day for this trip to the ATR.

I would rather make the 10+ hour drive than sign up for Facebook... (I assume you have to join to message someone)

Regarding the knucklebone vs swing out, do they both put the tire at the same height?

I understand the fb disgust, I dumped my long time account and started an alias just to keep up with one of my off road buddies. I literally only have one friend lol. The tracking and censorship was out of control imho. Messenger is something you can use on the pc with your fb account, but you have to DL the app on your phone to use it there.
I cannot speak to the tire height of the swing out, no experience or knowledge of that spec.

I just did a search to find the FB page. Pretty rude that no matter where you click on the page a login/sign up dialog comes up (might as well just say "non-FB people aren't welcome here..."). So no way to send a message w/o an account. Guess I'll get someone else I know with an account to send a message for me.

Copied from their FaceBook page. NOTE: I don't have a FB account, but this info is available by searching Detours Off Road Hardware Facebook through the Google...: ·

    Updates.....How's your 2020 going?.....

    1st I'd like to apologize for my s l o w replies to messages.
I'm just coming off the near completion of a well needed addition to the shop, this was to take place in May.....but didn't start until July. This space will serve as another fabrication area, additional storage (desperately needed) and generally allow some additional elbow room since downsizing 3 years ago.(desperately needed)
This has been distracting/disruptive to say the least but I'm at the point of wiring/insulating & creating the horizontal bi-fold overhead door provide the maximum space to the addition.
Home schooling/remote learning is again a thing in our community, kids being home 24-7 will cut into your time as many of you know, no matter how you slice it. I honestly don't feel it's very healthy for kids and just yesterday while checking on my son it became very apparent that he needed some 'dad' time so I basically stepped away from the shop and gave him 2 hours in the middle of the day. That's simply the only moral thing to do as a parent. (basically single parenting for over a year, let's just say...'it's complicated'....)
Incoming hardware/supplies required time frames were getting better, but have recently started to slow again for whatever reason. I overheard last evening that if there's that 'special' gift for Christmas or if you're shopping online, you better do it now. (?) It's October for goodness sake, seems this year we're going from Labor Day straight to Christmas.......I'll be placing reorders again later today....we'll see how that goes.
The shop itself is extremely busy even with a reduction of accepting new orders, I'll be further accepting new fewer orders until the backlog is caught up, inventory reorders are no longer questioned, and hopefully the school system decides to return full time. Meanwhile, things keep rolling here and I'll continue the 7 day a week routine to ensure things keep rolling....That's it for now, appreciate the continued support and patience from everybody!!
    Stay well.....

Oh...PS: Lots of inquiries concerning to 20 year product run for Jeeps previously offered.....These products were dropped 3 years ago when I reorganized and are not being currently produced, I can't be bribed (lol).....for multiple reasons those items are way on the back burner, if things change I'll let you know here. Thanks!

I wrote Detours through their website a few weeks ago, but haven't gotten a response. I want to order a carrier, but will probably have to go with Wilco. Does anyone have a phone number for Detours? If so, post it or PM me please...

I ordered a carrier at the beginning of Nov and was told to expect 12 weeks. I too sent a couple inquiries thru the website and never heard back. Had my daughter contact them thru her FB account (I refuse to ever set up an account w/ this criminal enterprise...don't get me started...). I'll report back in a month or so regarding delivery on time or not.

Your best bet is fb. Also, you have to approach this guy sorta like gobi as far as the wait times except you have to pay full upfront, which makes it worse lol. I was told 12 weeks when I place the order and now its week 20. Every couple of weeks after week 10 I've sent a fb message and he replies with something like power is out, parts are not being delivered etc... I know he's probably bsing. My self-imposed limit is 25 weeks. If it's not shipped by then I'll ask for a refund and we'll see what will happen then. Dealing with gun-industry and their joke on deadlines for years has made me indifferent when it comes to paying attention to deadlines given by sellers in general.

The tire-carrier is just not an emergency part for me and I still think DOM version is the best out there for my use.

I don't have FB, but my wife does. I'll try messaging Detours through her account. I definitely won't have the patience to wait 25 weeks though! I just went through that process with something for another hobby. The initial 6-8 weeks stretched to 18 weeks. Very frustrating.

I’ve been waiting since June 13 (when i paid) so it’s been 28 weeks. I emailed once since for a status update but I gave him the benefit of the doubt due to covid. But waiting 28 weeks and seeing Rigd tire carrier in stock everyday, it makes it frustrating. I’ll most likely give DOM a deadline as well. Week 30.

Nice. Glad to see they are coming primed since I'll just rattle can mine. Haven't counted the weeks but I think I'm pretty close to the 12 week estimate he gave when ordered...so halfway there!

Did you get any messages or warning or did it just show up at your door?
