Are those two brackets coming off the main switch removable to where is a completely flat surface for mounting? I’m wondering if I could drill a hole and double sided tape that switch panel right under that vent. I know SDHQ makes a replacement panel for that area for a spod but not sure how it would work with this panel

A follow-up to my satellite antenna situation. It will cost us $523.96 to repair. i take it in tomorrow. Good thing they said the roof isn't bent, so there is that. Lesson learned! My two babies...

That is the only thing it could've been. Our garage door is a taller door than most homes. It opens completely before we back out. I went through a mechanical car wash that you stay in your vehicle throughout the process. It is so loud in there that if a slight popping sound happens, heck, I may not hear it at all. My dealership said most of the time it occurs from garage doors, but does happen with car washes. It didn't break the antenna off the roof. It dislodged the cover, breaking the hold-down tabs towards the rear of the shark fin plate that holds down the cover. I only noticed it a couple of days later. I polish and keep these two vehicles pretty clean, so i notice if something is "off" on their body lines. i sure noticed the shark fin out of place!

Would it be cheaper / easier to do the shark fin delete with the flat cover ?

Would I still have good SiriusXM reception? Man, i don't know how I could deal without satellite radio. We got the lifetime subscription way back in 2007, on my then-new '07 Mustang GT. The subscription transferred to my 4Runner. I do NOT miss commercials and superfluous garbage between songs, etc.

Next up is to finish the trim and inserts around the bottom to enclose it and make it look cleaner.

Toying with the idea of pulling the rear seats. Kind of usless and take up to much space.

I replaced the bulbs in the puddle lights with Auxitos 194. They are definitely a nicer color than stock, brighter, but not as bright as I expected.
The videos on the net tell you to pull the inner corner of the colored housing (make sure it doesnt fly) or pull the mirror out; well, I did neither.
I used a plastic trim tool to slowly pry the tabs starting in the exterior corner, it was super easy, no tension, no bad noises, no broken tabs; I was surprised how easy it actually was. Remove the 2 screws and voila, access to the bulb. About 5 min for the first mirror, about 3-4 for the second.

Recently did the Meso lights with the on/off switch and the CCP sequential indicators. I think these little station wagons are just a big snap together kit, but the led's should come in handy if I ever need to change a tire during dark time.

Could you possibly post a couple more pics of the hood visor , like from the side etc.? Also which one did you get, it looks like they have a few variations and I think I like the one you have.

Not actually today, but this year I added a drivers side rear Molle panel from Cali-Raised, Diode Dynamics SS3 pros in amber and also bought a bunch recovery gear and a tarp and poles etc, to use as an awning. Oh, I ordered a SSO hybrid bumper last night too. Suspension may be next or the SSO roof rack.

One would expect it to be a bit more robust than that. Hope none of them catch a branch out on a trail. It’s ironic you posted about this since I just removed the roof basket off our venture and messed with the shark fin while I was up there and actually thought to myself “that feels cheap.” I might move the rear cross bar to a few inches in front to deflect the spinning cloth of death for when my wife takes it through the car wash?
