Hi all from Cape Cod, MA!

It’s so nice that this community is so strong. New to 4Runners (last car was an FJ80) but have always loved Toyota’s.

Have had the rig for about a year now, just starting to build it out.

    Looking forward to going places!

let me know if you do! I just moved back up here from Miami and didn’t quite make it in time for the season this year. I’ll run the dunes with you

I’ve never been driving out there, but I hear good things. I’ll try and hit you up in the spring when it opens up for the season.

I don't think you can actually "run the dunes", just the flat parts of the beach. The piping plovers in the dunes may be disturbed, and we can't be having that!

I went out on Sandy Neck once with my old ZJ, was very disappointed that you can't have any real fun on the beach.

I’m pretty sure you are correct. NPS is fairly specific on where you can go.
But ... “run the dunes” sounds way more impressive than “hey let me know when you want to drive down to the waters edge with me”
I think an Orleans permit will at least let you get to the southern tip of monomoy?

Haha, good point! It's been years since I went to Sandy neck, I bought a season permit and only used it once haha. Never felt like making the drive again from New Bedford. Do you know if any of those offered a permits? I'd be up to meet up at some point during the winter to hit the dunes.

Also, are you in of any of the Northeast Toyota groups on FB?

I believe we are out of season for permits but i will check. I’m on the cape currently so not to difficult.
No I’m not in any FB groups, I just moved back up the coast from Miami so I suppose they would be a good place to meet other owners. Recommend any?
