Checking "Sealed" transmission fluid level?

Is this like checking the tranny fluid in a manual transmission? Where you have to remove the side plug on the tranny and see if fluid comes out or needs to be pumped in...I have a 2005 SR5 4WD Auto V6 with no dip stick check...

 

I believe you have to warm up the transmission, jumper pins on the OBDII plug under your dash (don't remember the exact pins) cycle your transmission from park to drive six times to put the transmission in check mode. There are better more detailed info on YouTube and on Tacoma World. Sorry I can't remember everything to help you out.

That was a good tutorial on flushing & filling the tranny fluid. Fortunately there were Posts that say...It's a "Sealed System" and Toyota says that the Original Fluid is good for the Life of the vehicle or if your Towing a lot and the Dash Light comes on, then you would Flush & Replace. I saw his fluid come out "Brownish" after low mileage, but as he said, that necessarily isn't an indication of "Bad" fluid...I'm not messing with it...I don't do any towing.

 

So where can I buy some of that "lifetime, never needs changed " tranny fluid?

 

Seems hard to believe, huh? But then again, there are plenty of reports of guys with 250,000+ and no transmission issues.
