I'm adding a crapload of armor, so I have to replace the suspension. The front end is gaining 140 lbs. and the rear end is gaining 165 w/o trailer, and 395 when towing. Overall, still about 350 to 400 under gvwr.
No more than 2 inch lift.

Currently Dobinson MRA has my eye.

Depends on your budget. No budget get King, Fox, or ADS. Small budget: Dobinson or OME

I would go Bilstein before OME, if on a budget. Bilstein has a few options for springs based on load. I'm on medium load fronts and heavy rears with a slimline bumper, winch, skids, sliders, and constantly hauling around 200# of gear and tools. This handles better than stock, in spite of extra weight and lift.

I agree with King if budget is unlimited.

I've contacted King, Fox, and ADS, as well as Dobinson. Hadn't contacted ARB/OME yet. Wasn't sure about them because people seem to argue them a lot.

OME BP-51 is supposed to be nice, but not much cheaper than King, etc. Their lower end stuff seems to get mixed reviews.

The BP-51 is looking awfully nice, especially since it seems geared to built 4runner's increased weight

I was very interested in them, but I really wanted to keep the rear lift minimal, so I went with the Billies.

The internal bypass concept seems brilliant to me. This is why I was looking into them last winter.

im looking at a pro now most likely will do a spacer kit to start with the fox already on it. but in the rear looking to relocate the rear shock mount down to put it back into the window you want it in

I got my Bilsteins from 4wheelonline. They are somewhat stiff yet the ride is not bad. I only do moderate off-roading so they are enough for my needs.

A bud told me that toytec HD superflex springs would work. Worth trying?

After a bunch of research, I'm going with the Dobonisons IMS Lift Kit (KDSS) w/UCAs.
Doing a 2.5" Front & 1" Rear lift based on the limitation of KDSS. I recently got in contact with Dobinsons and they gave me the whole rundown on what to order based on the lift.

Also, they have 15% off going on till the end of November.

Right now, being financially irresponsible, king coilover is out front. Key point is every shock setup is custom.

I'm very satisfied with my Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell with performance load springs and UCAs. The parts are very well-matched, and it's handling heavy overlanding loads like a champ.

Ended up buying custom valved extended Kings with reservoirs and adjusters paired with 600 lb dobinsons in front and 200-400 lbs dobinsons in the rear and SPC upper control arms.
