went to Berkner high school in Richardson. Plano high school was always a big rival. i'm in Houston now.

Cool! We live in the corner of Plano, Allen, and Frisco. this place is growing fast. Highway 75 is a nightmare and so is the Tollway. And as it turns out, Toyota is moving hundreds of jobs from California to Plano.
I bought the 4-runner at Everett Toyota in Mt. Pleasant, and I want to give them a plug. Small town dealer that has a great concept of customer service.

I don't know why I typed this out, but too late now...

I used to live at the Shops. Loved it. Went back there for the first time in a couple years this past weekend, and stayed at Cambria. What a badass little hotel. In a perfect spot. A lot of people like a say that area is pretentious, spoiled, etc. I see it a little differently. That area of Plano has shit figured out. And it's not the people that live there, it's the companies that moved there starting with EDS. Now Pepsi, FritoLay, JCPenny...that area is like its own little community with zero need to venture outside.

Toyota's decision to move there is surprising, and I wonder how much money Plano gave them. That's prime real estate for housing developers. The plot they're building on is huge.

Combine what's going on there with the development along George Bush, and I'm really, really anxious to see what happens to local economies. Richardson has somehow stayed in its own little bubble, which was reflected in housing prices. UTD, however, started quickly expanding a few years ago, and hasn't slowed down. State Farm, Whole Foods, etc will reshape north east Richardson. I'd love to be living back in that area, just to experience all the change that's happening.

I think what's going on in Plano is what Las Colinas was supposed to be back in the 80s. Based on what I've seen and have been told.
