So back to the Venture model and KDSS. The owner's manual just listed the two different types that are offered. Meaning - two styles of 4wd buttons/levels, location of switches/buttons, etc.

Without crawling under, how do I know I have KDSS or not? I have a 2020 model and I don't see KDSS listed on the window sticker. With all the other features - the TSS, traction control, lane alert, whatever else, I'm a little lost in the dohickies!

    All of them.
Dealership called me this morning wanting to know if my wife would be interested in a 21 venture in Barcelona red for the same price I ordered her 21 trd orp for so she didn’t have to wait another week or two for hers to come in. She is still thinking about it she really wants a super white.

A KDSS light will flash in the instrument cluster when you start it. Otherwise you have to look at the sway bars. The driver's side link to the frame will be a hydraulic piston with a rubber boot. Also, the hydraulic lines run along the outside of the driver's side frame rail, and connect to an accumulator towards the front. It will be hidden under a small skid plate.

Look at the sway bars if you have what looks like ribbed air bags you have kdss. Most likely you don’t since it’s not on your sticker.

Thinking I don’t have the KDSS! Good to know since I nearly ordered sliders for KDSS!! D’oh!!! Really appreciate all y’all pointing me in the right direction as I learn this new vehicle. Typically shy away from forums but this one seems good! And glad I gave one less thing to learn or go wrong!

I think the KDSS ones just have clearance for the accumulator and lines. They should be compatible with non-KDSS.

It IS! lots of good people here, and minimal bickering! :D

Good to know! That's what turned me off the Ducati Monster forum(s). The non-helpful (well duh, dude) comments when you're trying to learn.

You won't find much of that here. Generally, you'll get an answer or someone will tell you where you can find the answer. :)

Of course, there's some debate, and good spirited ribbing. The real A-holes get chased out pretty quick though.

Me? I would jump all over it because I'm an impulsive buyer. I've settled on other colors and had buyers regret. Couple rides I actually went back and bought the color I wanted.
That said, don't settle if you can wait!

Hers truck missed the train from port so dealer made her/me a good offer on the venture and she brought it home with 3 miles on the odometer. She’s freakin in love and now wants me to start modding it. I told her to let the new set in first. Somehow I just got roped into window tint, sliders, lift, wheels and tires and a sore back.....

KDSS is fabulous. Don't leave home without it! Have it on my new 2020 Venture. Makes huge difference, especially if you are an outdoorsman. Build full log homes on East Coast, where we have plenty of rocky terrain.

Need a recommendation for a no-drill front license plate bracket adaptable to be affixed to front grill of 2020 Venture.

Interesting. I'll have to look into this at my local dealer ... I assumed discount off msrp would be similar thru most of the 4Runner models.
