Hey all, I'm new to the 4Runner family and just got my 2020 SR5. With the snowboarding season coming up I'm looking for a reasonably priced full length roof rack. I've looked at options like Gobi, but I'm not ready to pay an arm and a leg. Any recommendations?

Victory4x4 is a great option, only catch imo is that you have to buy t-slot bolts online to fit the 80/20 crossbars and nothing I found at the big box stores would work.

So the rack doesn't come with all of the necessary bolts to mount? Or are the t-slot bolts something you added to the rack for mounting accessories?

It comes with all the hardware to mount to the roof, I was referring to the bolts to attach anything to the crossbars. Sorry for the confusion.

They are all pricey ! I feel your pain
I've been holding off buying a rack. I have the factory roof rack with crossbars that I carry a 16 ft. canoe with.
Searching online there are companies like Yakima and thule that make less expensive racks
best of luck in your search.......post some photos of your rig when you find something.

UpTop Overland makes a nice rack. Couple different versions and price points. I myself am waiting for them to to do a 3/4 version. It's something they've considered but haven't done yet. I like their design due to the fact the front faring doesn't touch the roof. Unlike others were the fairing rests on roof. Waiting patiently.

Where are you located? I may have a Baja Rack for sale which I would recommend anyway. I'm just getting rid of my 2014 for a 2019 TRD Pro that already has a rack.

    All of them.
another vote for prinsu if I was going to do a rack. Best rack I had for my Tacoma and no noise at all. I am still torn on doing a rack for the 4 runner but if I do It will either be prinsu or just adding the cross bars that victory or lfd have. Most likely lfd since victory doesn’t keep much inventory in stock

I have a 3/4 Front Runner and it’s great. The faring doesn’t touch the roof and it’s quiet. It’s super strong, you can easily stand on it. Three big guys could stand on it. You can order a ton of accessories for it, or make your own. Aluminum is best though, but I couldn’t find a platform style like a Front Runner in aluminum. For just a plain low profile rack like everyone makes, I think Greenlane is best, because it’s aluminum.

Why are you buying a full length rack for snowboards? Use the factory crossbars, put some mounts on them, and call it a day. Spent the extra $1000 on next years ski passs.
