    Hi Everyone!

Been looking at 2021 ORPs and was wondering how much people paid for their 2021 ORP (MSRP, below or above MSRP and dollar amount). I’ve been looking for two months now and it seems like no dealer is budging on their price. I just want to make sure I get the best deal. I live in CA for reference. Please include your state in the response.

    Thanks!

As of a few weeks ago longo toyota had 2 silver 2020 trd premium with kdss for 46,082 otd. No one in ca will budge but try camelback toyota in Phoenix if not try truecar I found my 2020 from valley hi toyota in Victorville that way for below msrp

Hi! Thanks for the feedback and useful info. I am checking in with Longo but I believe their prices has gone up and I couldn’t find KDSS as a feature for the ORPs they have in stock. I would go out of state but it seems like a hassle to do so.

They won't budge on 2021, they lost a sale from me because of $250. If they still have the 2 silver premium ask for the Costco pricing and they will honor it.
    I paid 44k otd for my 2020

2k off MSRP for 2021 would be a great deal for now.
dealer profit is about 4-5k. they don't discount the new year model so soon.
also, 2020 is sold out long ago and many customers waiting for 2021. dealers don't even have inventory but have to order and wait for delivery.

I really want to get 2k off and three dealerships so far made that seem impossible. I think the shortage in supply plus their inventory is so low. I made a deposit on the one I wanted and it’s still at the port waiting to get delivered. I just wish they didn’t make it impossible to get a discount on these and so tired of hearing they can’t do better cause it’s a 4runner .

Dang, do you regret it? Or are you in no rush and just seeking the best deal?

I used truecar and was able to locate a "left over" 2020 white 2020 from valley hi toyota in Victorville for 44k otd so basically I saved 2750. It had 7 miles on it when I went to see it. Both 4runners had the exact same specs except for the led headlights which I already replaced.

I almost got the silver and I think I would have regretted that, nothing wrong with silver at all it's a beautiful color just silvered out since my tundra and tacoma were silver lol

I know it's kinda a hassle but I was in the process of negotiating with camelback in Phoenix, they're the only dealer i found nationwide that would play ball, they were getting a white 21 trd premium without kdss and he offered me 2500 off msrp

I think i got them down $1500 off MSRP, but $750 of that was a Toyota incentive.

Of course, the dealer has its “document” or “Closing” fee that they typically will not budge on. If you are coming out at MSRP net +TTL, you’re probably doing ok. Dealer margin on new sales is typically closer to $2k.

The trick is to watch out for “add on” fees like tint, upholstery/paint protection, “regional adjustment” fees, etc. You can add value by negotiating accessories for close to dealer cost if they won budge on price.

Also, note that the dealer will want to preserve the “sale price” in the buyer agreement because that influences prices on sites like KBB/NADA. Prepare for some voodoo math.

ETA: Just bought a 2021 TRD ORP... I I had a do-over, I probably would’ve bought an SR5 4x4. The ORP is nice, but I think the SR5 is the better value for your money if you are changing out wheels, etc.

That’s fair! Thanks for your feedback. I am at $2,600k off MSRP with a dealer which seems good but they added some accessories I don’t want to pay for (e.g. running boards and paint film protection on parts of the car). So idk I feel like I’m still sort of paying MSRP at the end of the day but I guess better than nothing. I might close the deal this weekend but black seems like too hard of a color to maintain and grey and was my first choice. Good point on the SR5. I like the leatherette seats in the ORP and the darker plastic interior (they like to call carbon fiber), looks somewhat more updated inside than the SR5 trims even the SR5 premium.

Yeah, sometimes it’s nice to switch it up. I love the super white but I feel like Toyota is having an issue with having their white stick on, hoping that they’ve switched out of the single layer coating they did. Nice whip and congrats!

    45, 783 MSRP
    SELL 40, 300
    OTD 42, 900

    interest 2.95 , 800+ credit

best thing is get price from carmax and go from there, truecar is suck now , most dealer deals with them so the number really don't helps much.

once you get price from carmax , make sure u buy car from dealer in their inventory so they can make better deal.

I think i can make better but I dont wanna take longer cuz someone may buy it.

Costco program invoice plus $650 and of course the dealer has to install tint and won't budge on that market. This is in the Phoenix area. They can sell them all day long at MSRP so I believe it will be hard to get a better deal. Not impossible though. You can always talk to a sales person give them the price you want to pay and see if you Inbox or phone ever rings.

Isnt the mark up crazy on Toyota’s in Canada? Did you have to pay any duties or taxes when you brought it over?

You would still have to pay your local taxes. No idea what a dealer would charge to ship. You would have to ask the dealership.
