I go off road every chance I get! I am fortunate to live in southern Arizona, and there are many places to go within 1-3 hours. I just returned from 3 days in Sedona, and had a great time on the Devils Bridge trail. I took the 4x4 road to cut down about 2 miles of the more boring part of the hike. Truck did great!

I've had my 2020 since Feb. and I just hit 25k on the odometer, Id say of that 25k, probably 8k is off road miles. :)

Let me know when you come next, the more the merrier! The crowd is a little scarce in the area so not many people to hit trails with.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
Currently, visiting Cape Girardeau MO which is on the Mississippi had to follow the river south. Almost got stuck in the mud twice my locker and rocking the 4Runner got me out. Wasn't planning on going off road / mudding but love exploring.

Well, let's see what plans were scuttled by COVID-19
Trip to the Northwest-Angle for some fishing - check
Trip to explore the many FS roads in the Badlands - check (may be able to get there yet this year, but that window is closing)
Trip up the James Bay Road and across the Trans-Tiaga Road - check
Another round-trip to Alaska via Cassiar Hwy - check

FML due to COVID-19 and Canadian border closures

No, not really. Nothing more challenging than a dirt road covered in a little mud or snow here and there. I bought it with the intention of taking it off road, but the trails are hours away and I just haven't made it out yet. Put almost 30,000 miles on it since Feb 2019 just going back and forth to work and traveling.

I just bought a new 2020 ORP last night. I have a ton of mods that will be added in the next few weeks which will include a lift kit, 285/70/17 tires, etc. but honestly, the only time I will ever likely need 4WD is on the rare occurrences of snow in Georgia. I’m getting it like I want it not because I will be taking it off road but because that’s just what I want. I have always believed in the saying “I would rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it.” Some may think it’s silly to have a 4WD SUV like that and never take it off-roading and that’s fine. It’s my vehicle and my money so I will do with it what I want.

Too many mods and too much money
Having it and not having experience in how to use it when you really need it can be almost as bad as not having it in the first place.

Good to see folks out and about.

I've come back to 4runners after 25+ year absence. Been a Jeep Wrangler guy for last 10. Thought would sacrifice fair amount of capability for comfort. Honestly impressed with the 4runner capability. Ride comfort is day and night.

Although we didn't drag anything, full skid package installed since these pictures. Jeep does better job tucking delicate bits up inside the frame rails.

When I was shopping around for a new vehicle I really couldn't do the wrangler for daily driving. I just never found them comfortable. At least jk and beyond. I've been super happy with the balance of comfort and capabilty.

the reason I have been buying them since 1980's either Mall crawling or go up to the mountains for skiing & boarding in winter and well in summer just to see or explore different spots out off the concert Jungle that I live in
this thing will get you there and back, just wish I would get the chance to do it more often  wish could find group that i can learn more about off-roading

Follow up from my previous post, but here's a YouTube video with me using my 4runner getting to locations. Feel free to skip to about the 1:00 mark.
