Black out side mirrors?

    Doesn’t the Venture edition come with blacked out mirrors? I think they look ok.

    I think they'd look alright gloss black, but flat plastidip black would make it look like a fleet vehicle.

    Funny what was old is new again. Years ago color matched handles and mirror caps were upgrades / high end models
    Looks great on the 4runner. Old school but classy. Stands out as all other are now color matched

    I say go ahead, I considered doing the mirrors too, I might one day.
    And, I used Shadow Black over their standard black.
    It gives it a deeper and more satin appearance which is what I wanted.
    Compared to just using the regular black.
    Their Hyper-Dip out of the can is the same color as the shadow black over regular black.

    I like both looks actually, and can go back to the original anytime, which I like about the Plasti-Dip.

    Oh just ordered the PlastiDip glossifier as that brand doesnt have a satin-like black. Do you think the final look will be the same?

    No, glossifier is a different thing, it is exactly what it sounds like, a glossifier.
    The gold hood scoop and gold rear Toyota emblem I used glossifier on, but nothing else, not any black items.

    I mean, if you're looking for glossy, it'll do it.
    But the Shadow Black over regular black is far more satin, which is what I was going for.

    But, it's not 'super glossy' either.
    Here is a close-up of the hood scoop and it doesn't come off as 'super-gloss' IMO.[​IMG]

    It's your truck, do whatever makes you happy. :)

    Personally I like the color match mirrors. Doesn't look as cheap.

    But I also like the stock chrome badging on my white truck.

    I think the black badging works best with the darker colors.
