hey guys. I am looking to upgrade my fog lights and headlights with LED that won't bankrupt me worse. right now I am checkin out ALLA ...any thoughts or warnings? I'd like to stay under $100 total for headlight and fog lights combined. prefer plug and play and easy install.

Yep, H9 mod is what you want for low beams (if you’re looking for more light). Twice the output of the H11’s. Get the Philips H9’s from Amazon for like $10 each.

If you’re looking to color match fogs, then that’s obviously not the route to take.

I too would like to find a Halogen headlamp bulb that is both brighter than stock AND a whiter light similar to that of a LED since the 4Runner that I am picking up in 2 weeks will have the OEM LED foglamps but I have read that LED bulbs do not perform as well in the projector style headlamps. I have Sylvania Silverstar in my Tacoma in both the headlamps and foglamps. They are ok but would like something a little (or a lot) better.

I have the GTR Ultra 2's, Lasfit switchback turn signals and Diode Dynamic SS3 pros. Very happy with the light output. Some people will say I'm dumb, I don't care. The light output exceeds my expectations.

I know you're asking about LED headlamps, but like the earlier poster, I'd recommend the H9 halogen bulb for your low beams. I installed H9s recently and it's a significant improvement over stock, and doesn't have the negative points associated with using an LED inside a projector housing.

TY. hopefully getting the stitches out on Wednesday. However it did not stop me from startimg my LED upgrade. This is it so far...the daytime pic has only the driver side fog light installed. When I removed OEM bulb from its housing a bunch of water poured out all over me. The weird part is it was not in the housing the water was coming down the wiring harness from up above but surprisingly there was a nice amount under all that electrical tape that poured so generously all over me haha the second pick driver side fog light, high beam, low beam LED all upgraded. However it is screwing with my daytime running lights... all right I'm off to do the other side

I’ve been looking into the yellow LED lights that replace the fog lights but do not want to pay a premium price... anyone have suggestions where to find them cheaper?

Quoted from a website- MANY NEWER VEHICLES: use a technology called PWM to operate the different lighting systems in a vehicle. PWM stands for Pulse Width Modulation and it allows for halogen bulb dimming, reducing alternator/battery electrical usage load, and is a very popular control method in modern vehicles.
