Hello everyone. Just switched over from a 2008 Tundra to a 2015 4Runner SR5. Always loved Toyota vehicles and loving the 4Runner. Looking forward to slowly start adding some mods. Already switched all interior bulbs to led and looking for suggestions for the front headlights and fog lights. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Cheers!

    Welcome to the forum!

Upgrading to H9 bulbs seems to be the best headlight modification for the money.

For fogs, there are many options from drop in replacement bulbs to LED aftermarket replacements. Diode Dynamics is a popular option for this. I believe a few other manufacturers make fog upgrades as well.

I’d like to get something that’s brighter than stock lights but also that doesn’t blind the crap out of oncoming traffic. I live in northern Alberta....lots of wildlife, slick winter roads and heavy traffic on the highways, so the more I see at night, the better!

Good thinking! This is why the H9 is a good idea. It (theoretically) maintains the proper focus and cut-off.

Thanks! Maybe I’ll contact him to see what he recommends. We have lots of dark hours in the winter up here, so good lights are crucial.

Thank you! Actually the previous owners of my 4Runner spent their Canadian winters down in your state. I think some of the dust I cleaned out of the nooks and crannies was from there! :D

Couldn't be happier. H9 is a definite upgrade on the low beams for a bargain price. The DD fogs are a bit more than the oem led fogs, but well worth it. Quality materials, stock mounting, plug-n-play wiring, amazing light output.
