Sawzall, welder, angle grinder and various other items are my friend:)

Have build threads on toyota120 and T4r.org, will do the bits and pieces and what's required on here for the 35's to fit, first goal is mounted and balanced without rubbing on daily driving, which I have achieved in the back of the front, have to clearance front bumper, and will be doing additional trimming in the evenings.

    The details:

Top hat spacer 2.5" on top of Tacoma front for around 3.2-3.5" of front lift, have diff drop and no front swaybar, this setup limits up travel and gives a lot of droop, this will help the initial setup as won't have to worry about hitting the top of the tire.

    1.25" wheel spacers all around

Have SPC upper arms and moog problem solver lower balljoints as well, the rear is a TJM 3" which is King springs and I have Tacoma rear shocks with the 3" extensions, this also limits my up travel in the back, but will have to do some cutting in the rear.

I will go back later more than likely and add a 1.25 or 1.5" roger brown aka 4Crawler body lift but goal is to cut, bash, weld and seal to make it work.

Tires arrived yesterday, all work was done this past Saturday that you see here:
    Here we go:

Let me know if pics are working, not appearing for me but I'm at work, plan in the next few evenings is 2" ll the way around removed from the existing fender, and same from the flare, just trying to work up a device to accurately measure and mark, then will do the cuts. Am prepared to have to remove the pinch weld and move back with the expectation of my body mount chop not being enough, so will remove and move back a few inches if necessary, have to remove carpet anyway, found out I have some open holes in the bottom of the cab on this little excursion, talk about stinking carpet right now:(

Looks like the vid of his wife high centering failed in upload, pretty funny she got out and waved her hands then he had to give it a shot I just hooked the strap up and pulled them backwards and was good to go!

Good on you for not asking if they'll fit, and instead pulling out cutting tools.

Looking forward to seeing them mounted.

They fit. We've had 35's on our 4th gen for about 4 years. Wouldnt have done it different.... except maybe try 37's now that it's on +2" Long Travel

Eventually will be 4.56's or 4.88's and add an lsd to the rear to compliment the atrac, possibly are I'm front st same time but will depend on budget when time comes!

Tons more pics to throw on tomorrow when I get time, but long ass day today and most of yesterday and up at 0530

    86F79903-3E24-46AA-8741-D773562EE8EA_zps_5385f74dede44ab59441f3fa55c000c9c2f2ca11.jpg

Only rubbing I get currently is full stuff on the mud flaps in the rear, easy fix but didn't have time today. There drivers side flare on but no time for the other one. Did some trimming on the flare but far less than I expected to have to do! Tires measure at 34.6 exactly and I love them, going from a worn out E rated to a new C-rated tire was amazing! Old tires even wore out weighed 59.2lbs and the new ones are only 63.1! While doing the tires, i did it all but the weights, was talking and my buddy does gears! We also went though his lot and he had some damn good axles, including a kingpin 60 and matching Sterling rear with stock 4:10's hmm.

But now knowing this I can probably get my gears and rear spartan for kit over a grand, basically just gear and necessity cost, I would probably do most of it to learn and still throw him 400 or so and save a **** ton!

What inch lift did you have?
I’m deciding that now on mine.

6" lift on 35's. SPC Control Arms. Custom Skid Plates. Custom Bolt-on Rock Sliders. 6" lift includes a 2" body lift.
I know this is an old thread but I wanted to thank you for the education on the fender trimming metal work. I have relocated my body mounts back 6" and have a set of 37s to put on. First,20200906_210508.jpg 20200906_210508.jpg 20200906_210458.jpg I will need to cut back my fender and your wright-up is just what I was looking for. Also still need to cut off the factory body mounts. I'll do that after I do a few "brake checks" at 20, 25 30 and 35 mph. Just to make sure my design and welding is good enough.

Good to know man, this 4runner is still on here I know his name has aquasport in it but cant remember exactly. I have a 2020 Tacoma now and will be doing cab mount relocate and possibly going back to 35's. For now just the chop and 33's will fit the bill, but doing arb's front and rear and will regear but recent move has the budget tied up for a bit.

Changed my name for this forum. I still had my boat when I joined the other forum, hence the Aquasport name. You definitely did a fine job chopping for the clearance needed to fit these BFGs. They are still holding up too. Unfortunately she's got quite a few pinstripes these days. But beast mode aint a debutante party.
