It’s got to sell for north of 55k. It’s interesting to see a 4 Runner set up like this one, it reminds me of my own 2018 ORP. It’s a wonder Toyota wouldn’t equip a vehicle like this in stock form. I can’t believe it wouldn’t be popular.

North of 65K - assuming those at the table have deep pockets. It looks immaculate.

There’s always going to be deep pockets to buy a vehicle like this.

Nice ride, but why selling? Company just buys and builds to sell?

It will be fun to see how this turns out. Thanks for posting Ml-FL offroader! I’m guessing that even though the price will be high, doing something like this wouldn’t have a high enough profit margin to make it doable on a commercial basis. This sale is probably unforeseen and necessitated by an unplanned change in life’s circumstances. I’m only guessing, we’ll see in due course and I hope I eat my words! It’s nice to see someone doing something unique and making a buck at it, if it’s at all possible. I’m not sure what bring a trailer charges for commission, but I’m sure it’s not inexpensive either.

The last bid looks suspicious. 10k over the previous bid? Hmmm. Should go north of 50k though. 2k miles, this looks to have been purpose built with eye candy and performance extras to fill the PRO void. There is a guy here in FLA who buys 3rd and 4th gens in decent condition and builds them out for a resale profit.

Perhaps your theory is the true story. It doesn't seem plausible for profit. What a shame if it is an unfortunate circumstance and the owner never will enjoy the dream.

Why is it suspicious? You weed out all the low ballers right away.

Not to mention the guy has been bidding for years now.

I know it’s (potentially) a more financially efficient way to end up with something like what you’d want to build but personally I would NEVER buy something like for a cent of a regular blue book. I’d want to pick my own parts and pieces, and I would want to know the build was done right. I wouldn’t trust that much work done by who knows what.

It’s like buying a car with a “built” engine, your paying a premium to risk it not being what it’s claimed to be. Maybe if they had a build thread to follow and see all the detail of everything, but I don’t know, I’d just prefer a clean slate.

Selling fully built trucks like this usually aren't profitable. For all the money they put into parts and labor, most sellers walk away in the red.

My guess is it's some rich guy that wants a new Raptor instead (or something along those lines).

Maybe setting up the S/C is a tricky procedure, but the rest is just bolt on accessories. If there was a saving, and it was what I wanted, I wouldn’t balk at having the installation of those parts being done by someone other than me. But you’re right Agent_Outside, some guys can cut corners or perform sub standard work, but this looks pretty good from the photos.

The guy’s interacting with the bidders, too bad someone doesn’t ask him why he’s selling it.

Even if it was documented, I enjoy the puzzle of putting it all together myself. Proud of the fact that 90% of the work on my trucks has been done myself. East Coast Gear put the ARB in my 12' and I had to have my welder build the prerunner bumper and glue the dual shock support and gussets on the 03' but I was heavily involved in the process, doing all the prefab work at home and in his shop and then he would get the mig out and tie it all together. Aside from that work being done, I have built every bit of the 4th and 5th gens.
If the seller has receipts for this rigs SC install and you can check the shop out, the rest of the mods are bolt on stuff that can be visually checked out. The tune is where the questions come in, so that is a risk. I would be getting in contact with Gadget over at URD to see if he could shed any light on the build for sure.
But I get the whole "built not bought" sentiment, because I live it.

@HornedOwl Lol, yea that is definitely a curious choice. Wonder what it's for? Might be the one mod the owner did himself.

I agree, doesn’t seem like a good way to make money. But, it also doesn’t seem like something some one would build, have 2k miles on and dump.

I’m wondering if by auctioning they think they can make money. In the comments, the seller said it was owned by a company, or titled to it.

Just from looking at they cut both the front and rear bumper covers so that can’t easily be undone and I wouldn’t have chosen either of those bumpers. The fuse panel wiring under the hood looks like a toddler did it. The fuel filter is clamped onto what looks like brake lines. They apparently can’t the difference between bypass shocks and remote reservoir shocks. And that switch they put a hole in the dash for!?

Plus I wouldn’t want total chaos uniball UCAs, or 285s, or wheel spacers, and they don’t seem to know what bumpers are installed beside the fact that they are metal.

Just a big no from me all the way around.

It's probably his best chance at it.

He's trying to drive up the price by getting people all emotional over the bidding process.

If you just put it up for sale for a price close to what you put into it, you have a bunch of tire kickers trying to low ball you all day.

I'll say it again, selling a heavily modified truck almost always looses money.

I think the COs can be ordered with the IBP option.

I didn't have time to look at all the pics this morning. Didn't see all the SC install pics. Definitely some stuff that may questionable. The goofy switch cut in the dash is really strange after all the money that was spent. But I also know there is some stuff I did on my trucks that other people wouldn't want either lol. They really should have taken some time to detail the undercarriage before the pics as well. As far as TC uniballs? Freaking love em. Regular cleaning and some Tri-Flow spray every couple weeks and they have been fine. I rebuilt them and my Kings last fall and they were still working fine after 50k miles. But they aren't for everyone for sure. Now I'm wondering if this rig was a buy back by the installer from someone who hit hard times with the Covid BS.

The internal bypass shocks have reservoirs with big IBP logos on them, they don’t offer any with internal bypass for the 4Runners, and I don’t think they offer internal bypass on any shocks smaller 3” diameter.
