New member long time lurker

hello everyone! This is my 04 Gen4 4Runner her name is trigger. She’s at 204,000 miles and running strong. We live in SoCal and go to Big bear as much as we can to hit the trails. So glad to have finally created an account. Hope everyone is staying safe and has a plan! I work in the thermoplastics industry printing holster substrates for the camouflage companies around the world. We drove her all the way to Georgia and back and it was awesome! Anyway, ty for being a great source of info since I got her lots of lurking and great answers, hopefully I can add some help where it’s needed.

Heather, on your first post you should edit in a build list of what mods have been done, including brand info, tire and wheel size, lights etc. I have a feeling people are gonna start asking you a lot about Trigger lol. Yes brownbear is right, good looking pup too!

@Londonrain I new it was an extensive list!! Thats cool you have one of Demello's first products.

 

Yea we were super surprised as well, he almost didnt recognize them, the only reason we knew is because the boards connected to the frame have the DO logo like the grill.

and yea I had no freaking idea we had that much we've done, it gets away from you fast.. This doesn't even include the repairs and such on the engine, new valve covers, spark plugs, wiring, system flush, chopped and hidden muffler. etc. (the exhaust stunk so bad with the back window down) we switched the direction and moved it way closer back towards the front and bam no more litter box.

Just found a new ARB compressor today so I’ll have the ARB one I have currently for sale in so cal.
Ckma24 single ARB compressor 24 volt Mounted but not used, $200 bucks

Welcome to the forum Heather. I miss those trails on the North side of BB and Arrowhead.
My parents love camping up there. I spent a lot of my childhood in those mountains.
I was with the group that maintained Holcomb Cr. trail (3N93), MyJeepRocks.com

 

I camp on Holcomb as much as I can out past the Boy Scout camp there. Its a beautiful place, great for testing out new parts and breaking stuff lol Clark was a pain we took it after the rain and there were some seriously deep ruts in some spots, had to be right in the middle of a Bike rally so we were dodging Bicycles all day. fun times lol

 

My Wife and I were on Clarks grade in our TJ one time going up towards the ridge and like you, a bunch of bicycles coming down. Wide eyed and oh shit! looks on all of them.

 

Haha apparently this is pretty common.

 

Yeah they like those down hills but, not too many like the Adopt-A-Trails that we love.
And I like that everybody in the OHV groups give back to the community.

 

Absolutely, once this mess is over I'm going to be heading up. Need to go camping before it gets hot!

So I got sick of looking at my old beat up seat covers and pulled the “trigger” lol and got new ones from Toyota.

Huge improvement. Not to bad quality either for the price. They are neoprene as well.

if you don’t mind me asking where did you get your aftermarket front bumper? or what kind is it? i’ve been looking at getting one and i love yours

 

Demello with bajas and kc lights I just have the trd plate covering the logo.

 

We added a few things and swapped some things around.

We got a blown head gasket on her and had the engine rebuilt.

New high pressure radiator cap
All the other little stuff that needed to be replaced while we were at it
Had the head milled. Small amount of warping was causing a coolant overflow at and hour and a half drive only. That was the only symptom.

Guy said the engine was extremely clean for such high mileage.
Pumpkin breathers for the back.

Waiting on the Sherpa roof rack
Waiting on victory to release the back ladder for no spoiler.
Switched to the afe dry filter magnum
