This just happened with a call-

Customer Calls "How much to put an Alternator in my 05 Nissan Murano, I have found the part at a local salvage yard."

Me- " Labor is 250 bucks because it takes three hours to do one"

Me- "How do you know it is the Alternator?"

Customer- "Because O'Reilly told me so"

Me- Ok, Lets start off with saying they sell car parts right"

    Customer- "Yes"

Me- "Ok, Do you really that it is possible that this is the only thing wrong with the car?

Customer- "Well no because it runs rouph and has no power too"

Me- Ok, So are you willing to spend 400.00 and this not be fixed and have to spend more money?, I'm sure you will be pretty pist considering you are looking at a used part that takes three hours to put in in the first place even if this is the only thing wrong"

Customer- "Yeah, you are right. Ok, I'm on my way to your shop (mind you she is a 20 minute drive away) and have you look at it"

Me- Guess it's not the Alternator then........

See what I deal with on a Friday, oh and she wants it done today too......
