    After much consideration, I've decided to try to paint the running boards that came with our 4R, that is, the chrome part. I used SEM Trim Black on the roof rails and it turned out fantastic. I've got SEM primer and Ultra Trim Black (satin) on the way, I'll give it a shot soon.

    I realize I may mess them up and/or the paint won't hold up well. But since I was going to be lucky to get $100 for the running boards anyway, I figured buying $40 worth of paint is better than spending $300-400 on used or new ones.

    I'm trying to like mine, really trying. I'm about to remove them but;

    - I'm waiting for my aftermarket wheels/tires to come in and see how the truck looks with the boards
    - I'm 5'6". The Pro is supposedly higher than the SR5. With the boards removed, I wonder if I'll have to take a running start to get into the truck LOLOL

    As mentioned earlier; theses boards to me are used mainly for roof access. Otherwise id sell mine ASAP. Plus after I lift it 3" soon they may actually be used for their designed purpose.

    They look great! If I can get my hands on the same style, mine will look that good! I have the magnetic gray metallic also. Having a hard time finding any for sale from private owner.
