My wife says I am a big time procrastinator and I agree. I have to be in the right mood to do anything. I have now been retired for 3 months and I have only gotten about half of what I need to do done. Painting is the worst. I look at what I need to paint, shrug and go sit my butt back down on the couch. I took me 5+ years to fix the rear window and gear shifter in the 4 Runner LOL. Anyone else like this?

I can be, I either procrastinate and keep putting it off or I jump in head first and spend like 10-12 hours straight skipping meals and breaks working on stuff. I need to find a happy medium lol.

Same. Been retired for 11 months now. So happy not working that nothing else really matters to me. Don't care if I get it done or not. A good hard workout in the AM and I am toast for the rest of the day anyway. But I recently got started on my baja bug again.

I retired simply so I had more time to get my own projects further along. I have my moments when I am and thats fine, but I promise you I am buy taking care of something else in its place instead. I sit on my couch about 30 minutes a night, while I am eating dinner and watching something short on Netflix. I spent 3 weeks on the friggin couch when I was sick in January and it was positively miserable. I can't stand to be unproductive....it fills me with anxiety to be goofing off. Now my Darling hubby has so issues at all goofing off while projects sit unfinished....makes my head spin.

I meant to reply yesterday, but...

I'm currently sitting on the couch trying to get myself motivated to do something. It IS Sunday, so I don't feel too bad about it.

It's not procrastination - it's planning. Every project needs plenty of planning time.
