I would think no way this event happens. They just cancelled the Olympics in Tokyo. Cancelling stuff that is still 4+ months away tells me they know this virus stuff is likely to drag out much longer.

    Original date for the Olympics
    July 24, 2020 – August 9, 2020

It's clearly gonna be months not weeks. China is barely starting to back to normal and its been 4 months.
Im a nurse, we're already seeing increases in respiratory failure due to COVID infections. It's just gonna get worse for a while. Stay safe, stay home.

Just my opin and only been to China once, but I don't believe for a second they are starting back to normal. Don't believe the news you hear coming out of China. Their news is heavily controlled by the gov. Websites like google and wikipedia are banned for a reason. Not some conspiracy junk, just a bit of truth here.

It's interesting they are rescheduling the Expo for late July. I hope it goes off, because it would mean America is getting back to important business at hand, which is living our lives as we want. We shall see.

Well Expo West has been rescheduled to Mid July, but BigMike is still going, and will have his Tacoma (@slowesttacoma) at the Radflo booth, swing by and check out the #RCLT, tacobox and the Radflo coilovers. Mike will answer any technical questions you have (he loves tech questions)

Its funny because the animal that was eaten and started all of this, the Pangolin (pictured above), is already illegal to eat. All eight Pangolin species are protected under national and international laws (source: worldwildlife.org). So this law means nothing in reaction to the Coronavirus outbreak, they just want to look good like they are doing something.

Well the truth of it is, the virus we are dealing with is a 99% match to one that is found in Pangolins. Those animals already protected and illegal, China has a huge problem with illegal exotic animal markets, like the one in Wuhan where this started. China had this outbreak in November and tried to cover it up by threatening any media or doctors that tried to talk about it and let it get completely out of control before letting anyone know it existed. Id say that was the extent of the cover up, but its out in the open now. This new law is just to try and have some good publicity like they are trying to do something about it but its really not.

Been to China. They will eat any animal. Dogs, cats, horses, snakes, scorpions, beetles, rats, eels, etc. are just a few of the things I saw for sale from street vendors while walking the streets of Beijing at night. Strangely enough, they find some of the stuff we eat to be pretty gross. The difference is we have strict regulations and enforcement of food processing, storage, and distribution, and they do not.

China gov loves good news stories though. Always important to be painted in a good light, to the rest of the world, no matter what the truth is.

Nope. I have a sensitive stomach so I have to be careful what I eat when I travel. A girl I was with tried scorpion-on-a-stick though.

She said it wasn't too bad. They had live scorpions, then they stab them with a short stick, and pop them in the boiler/fryer thing for a bit until they are ready. Some were dipped in some kind of spicy sauce.

They seem to cook most of their street food while it's alive, which is pretty brutal. And zero f***s given by anyone.

Crabs are boiled on the crabbing boats before being sold. I'm not sure about lobster.

It's a fantastic event. This will be my third Expo West visit, and I'll be travelling in from the east coast. I'll be back on staff and as an instructor. As previously said, it is mostly a trade show. As a result, with all the manufacturers and things set up in the seller area, there will be a lot of "commercialization." It's a fantastic opportunity to examine items and speak with the people behind them before making a purchase. Also, there you can see audio equipment hire that is more than just good.

I'm headed to the Mountain West Overland this year. Wondering how hot it will be in end of August for Loveland, Colorado?
